Anabolic Edge: Increase Muscle Growth and Endurance

Let’s face it. Your body hates extra muscle. While muscle is required for function, mobility, strength, and protection, it takes an awful amount of time and energy to build and maintain real muscle mass. In order to boost muscle mass, the body requires more protein and sleep and it has to strengthen the joints, ligaments and tendons, it also takes 100 calories each day to maintain one pound of muscle. Compare that to the body’s favorite tissue: fat, the most dense source of stored energy and a reserve fuel tank for the body in time of crisis. The body loves fat; it’s easy to store, easy to maintain, and one pound of fat is 3500 extra calories for a rainy day.

Your body’s main goal is to maintain homeostasis (stability) throughout the day. When the body is stressed or influenced by external stimuli, it immediately releases hormones to counter the stressor or stimuli and bounce back to its optimal state of stability. But it’s impossible to pack on muscle without swaying the balance away from the norm and into the Anabolic zone. In order to keep growing in size and strength, its imperative that you maintain the Anabolic zone, but all it takes is a bad day in the gym or a hiccup in your diet to swing your body out of the Anabolic zone and into catabolism, the state in which your body will actually break-down and consume your valued muscle tissue for energy.

Illegal steroids are so successful thanks to their ability to lock you into the Anabolic zone, leaving you with clothes-tearing gains and a massive surge in strength. But for those who don’t want to risk the side effects and legal concerns of steroids, what does it take to lock into the Anabolic zone? You need an Anabolic Edge.

What is Anabolic Edge?

Anabolic Edge is the world’s first athletic performance enhancing product designed to promote extreme muscle growth while greatly enhancing your body’s muscle endurance. Anabolic Edge can be used alone for extreme muscle building effects or used as part of your post pro-testosterone cycle support. Users of Anabolic Edge can expect to experience impressive gains in overall athletic endurance and anabolic activity resulting in dense, lean muscle growth.

What Does Anabolic Edge do?

  • Designed to rapidly increase ATP and Oxygen utilization
  • Increases Aerobic & Anaerobic Endurance
  • Enhances your body’s ability for Aerobic & Anaerobic Recovery
  • Modulates estrogenic receptors while controlling Aromatase
  • Boosts Natural Testosterone Levels

What sets Anabolic Edge apart from all the other natural anabolics?

Anabolic Edge works with your body to create the ultimate environment for maximum anabolic activity, enhanced energy and performance (without the use of stimulants), and increased oxygen utilization to help fuel your muscle and growth. Anabolic Edge’s anti-aromatase properties help to ensure that your testosterone production is utilized to the fullest extent without losing excess testosterone to estrogen conversion. The only way to pack on lean, dense muscle is to alter your body’s state of homeostasis towards a constant state of anabolism, thus allowing your muscles to consistently grow in size and strength rather than being broken down as a source of energy for the body.

Anabolic Edge Ingredient Science:

Cordyceps Sinensis 8% Cordycepic Acid 0.4% Adenosine
Cordyceps Sinesis is a natural mushroom extract that has been utilized as a natural tonic in China for thousands of years. In addition to its potent antioxidant attributes, research has shown Cordyceps to be beneficial for the vascular system and it demonstrates vasodilating effects. Through antioxidant properties and the ability to increase the ratio of T-cells within the body, Cordyceps are a very effective immune system booster.

Cordyceps also help to increase adenosine triphosphate (ATP), a high-energy molecule that is the natural energy-bank of our life. ATP acts almost like a battery as it is able to be stored until it is needed. ATP is also vital in promoting refreshing sleep. Caffeine and other stimulants have the ability to neutralize ATP’s ability to be utilized in the body, leaving you with poor sleep quality and a lack of energy without the constant use of stimulants.

Several studies with mice have shown that when Cordyceps are ingested in an extremely low oxygen environment, they were able to utilize oxygen more efficiently and live 2-3 times longer than a control group.

Resveratrol yielding 98% Trans Resveratrol
Reservatrol is a compound that is largely found in the skins of red grapes and has been touted as the explanation for the “French Paradox” – the low incidence of heart disease among the French despite the consumption of a high-fat diet. Resveratrol has exceptional antioxidant properties to ward off free-radicals and other cellular scavengers that cause damage and early-aging.

Resveratrol has potent anti-aromatase properties that limit the conversion of testosterone to estrogen in the body. When the body increases testosterone beyond its requirements, some testosterone is converted into estrogen. While this may bepart of the body’s homeostasis cycle, extra estrogen is the last thing that a body-builder needs when trying to remain in an anabolic state. While preventing the aromatase of testosterone to estrogen, Resveratrol will also help to naturally increase your testosterone levels without the damaging shut-down associated with pro-hormones and steroids.

Rhodiola Rosea. Ext 4% Rosavins:
Rhodiola Rosea is a known adaptogen, which means that it has the ability to increase resistance to a variety of chemical, biological, and physical stressors. Adaptogens are extremely effective for bodybuilders thanks to their ability to act as a stimulant in times of stress while not disturbing bodily function at a normal level. This means that Rhodiola Rosea will aid in energy, endurance, and strength when needed, but it will remain inactive without demand. While caffeine and other stimulants can cause anxiety and a jittery feeling when taken in large doses at rest, Rhodiola Rosea will only react proportionally to the body’s demand for energy.

Studies have shown that Rhodiola Rosea has significant improvements for individuals under stress, but the greatest benefits are in regards to improvements in physical fitness, mental fatigue, and neuromotor functions. Rhodiola rosea’s effects on nervous system function are mainly attributed to its ability to optimize serotonin and dopamine levels and release of opioid endorphins. Since Rhodiola Rosea stimulating properties do not up-regulate A1/A2 receptors, it will not lead to Adrenal Fatigue or other burn-out symptoms as would caffeine and similar stimulants. In fact, Rhodiola Rosea is part of recommended treatment for persons dealing with Adrenal Fatigue and other fatigue syndromes.

Further research shows that Rhodiola can improve endurance exercise while also producing mild antidepressant and anti-anxiety effects. Rhodiola Rosea also boasts claims of increased immune function, improved health, and has been shown to increase life span in some animal tests. Due to its ability to greatly reduce oxidative stress, Rhodiola Rosea compliments any workout by reducing the oxidative stress and free-radical build-up after a heavy workout.

Sulbutiamine
Sulbutiamine is a precursor to thiamine, a vital B-Vitamin that is essential for neural function and carbohydrate metabolism. In the medical field, Sulbutiamine is often used to treat persons suffering from symptoms of physical weakness and loss of strength.

As a nootropic, Sulbutiamine helps aid cognitive function by boosting brain performance, concentration, and alertness.

Sulbutiamine is able to cross the blood-brain barrier more effectively than B1 because of its lipophilic properties (ability to dissolve in fats). This allows a more effective response and Sulbutiamine’s ability to have a greater effect in cognitive performance and reducing fatigue in comparison to B1. Much of Sulbutiamine’s energetic effects are due to its ability to increase Thiamine triphosphate, resulting in a greater instance of cell energy metabolism.

Agaricus Bisporus Extract
Agaricus Bisporus is a mushroom extract that has been shown to inhibit aromatase and therefore, reduce testosterone conversion to estrogen.

Procyanadin
Procyanadin is a polyphenol, powerful antioxidant, that is plentiful in grape seeds. These molecules increase fatty acid breakdown and influence glucose use in fat cells. In addition, polphenols influence SIRT1, which are able to signal certain proteins in response to energy demand and use.

Procyandin plays a major role in promoting heart health and it’s also a potent antioxidant. While some researchers believe Procyandin’s benefits trump that of Resveratrol, Procyandin has been found to raise good cholesterol, minimize blood clots, promote heart-tissue health, and limit sources for hardening the arteries.

One of the greatest advantages of Procyandin is the fact that its highly bioavailable, allowing easy absorption and the ability for your body to utilize the majority of the ingredient. Procyadin has also been shown to be a potent anti-aromatase constituent, preventing the conversion of testosterone to estrogen while promoting an anabolic environment.

Procyanadin can also play a role in the down-regulation of glucocorticoid receptors, reducing Cortisol. Since Cortisol is one of the most catabolic hormones in the human body and it disables the effects of insulin, this reduction allows more effective use of insulin, the most anabolic hormone.

Procyanadin is essential in creating an Anabolic state for its ability to neutralize free-radicals, decrease glucocorticoid activity, and contribute to an overall increase in heart-health and general health.

Ophiopogon Root
Ophiopogon root is a Chinese herb that has long been used for its medicinal properties. For centuries, this natural plant has been used to relieve annoyance, irritation, or insomnia; increase oxygen utilization and heart efficiency, and aids with overall health of the stomach and intestines. Pharmacological findings show that Ophiopogon Root actually helps promote healthy blood sugar, increase oxygen usage in low atmospheric conditions, inhibit growth by antimicrobial actions, and increases immunology by increasing the immune system.

Due to increased oxygen utilization and aid in clearing the lungs from mucus and enabling higher oxygen saturation, Ophiopogon Root can help increase physical output through greater oxygen saturation. This will help increase physical output, decrease fatigue, and promote greater physical endurance.

Cordyceps Sinensis 8% Cordycepic Acid 0.4% Adenosine
Known also as the caterpillar fungus, cordyceps received a lot of bad press back in 1993 when it was attributed to world record breaking runs performed by the women of China's national track-and-field team. Word spread as to the mushrooms tonic effects and positive impact on sports performance and soon people were calling it an illegal drug.

Little did those people know that cordyceps has been used for thousands of years by millions of people as a safe medicinal. Cordyceps grows on the living bodies of certain types of moth larvae and eventually it penetrates the larva in the form of fine threads, killing and mummifying it.

After that, the mushroom sends up a skinny stalk with a swollen that releases spores. Cordyceps is in great demand as a supertonic that builds physical stamina, sexual power, and mental acuity and is therefore cultivated. According to Chinese doctors, it is invigorating and calming, as well as life prolonging. Cordyceps extract can be found as a component of many different tonic formulas. Usually Chinese people will buy it in its whole dried form which consists of the mummified larva and the attached fruiting body of the mushroom. Cordyceps can be used in cooking-with a taste similar to that of licorice-and is considered safe and gentle for both men and women of any age.

In traditional Chinese medicine, cordyceps is held as a potent tonic with properties similar in action to ginseng, one of the few medicinal plants with obvious performance-enhancing effects in athletes. It is also recommended to increase energy and improve lung capacity. Studies in animals show that when they have been given cordyceps the herb causes them perform longer before giving in to exhaustion. Athletes claim that it enables them to workout harder and recover faster. Cordyceps appears to aid the body in coping with stress which would explain why it works for competitive athletes. Some of the oldest prescriptions call for 8.5 grams of the fungus to be cooked within a duck. When consumed, the effects are said to be equal to those of over 28 grams of the best quality ginseng. For those of you looking for a quicker fix, cordyceps can be found in capsule and extract form. Take 1 to 3 capsules or 1 to 2 drops of extract in liquid before a workout.

Benefits of Cordyceps Adenosine:

  • Cordyceps improves management of low oxygen and high energy demands i.e. increased hypoxia and acidosis tolerance
  • Significantly increases aerobic fitness and anaerobic thresholds
  • Reduces submaximal heart rate and blood lactate
  • Enhances fat metabolism, sparing muscle glycogen
  • Increases cellular adenosine triphosphate (ATP)
  • Enables peak oxygen uptake and reduces oxygen consumption.
  • Boosts libido and sexual function
  • Improves athletic performance

Scientific Research for Cordyceps:
A few animal studies have shown cordyceps feeding to increase the ratio of adenosine triphosphate (ATP) to inorganic phosphate (Pi) in the liver by 45-55% - an effect that may be viewed as beneficial in terms of energy state and potential for performance enhancement. Furthermore, mice fed cordyceps and subjected to an extreme low oxygen environment, were able to utilize oxygen more efficiently (30-50% increase), better tolerate acidosis and hypoxia (lack of oxygen) and live 2-3 times longer than a control group. A number of Chinese clinical studies, primarily in elderly patients with fatigue, cordyceps-treated patients reported significant improvements in their level of fatigue, ability to tolerate cold temperatures, memory and cognitive capacity and sex drive. A small study presented at the American College of Sports Medicine annual meeting (1999), showed that a cordyceps-based supplement significantly increases maximal oxygen uptake and anaerobic threshold, which may lead to improved exercise capacity and resistance to fatigue.

Resveratrol yielding 98% Trans Resveratrol :
Resveratrol is a polyphenolic compound that can be isolated from grape peel. Because of its structural resemblance to estrogen, resveratrol's agonistic and antagonistic properties on estrogen receptor have been examined and demonstrated. In the present study, the effect of resveratrol on the expression and enzyme activity of aromatase was investigated. By assaying on MCF-7 cells stably transfected with CYP19 (MCF-7aro cells), resveratrol inhibited the aromatase activity with an IC50 value of 25µM. Kinetic analysis indicated that both competitive and noncompetitive inhibition might be involved. The administration of 10 nmol/l testosterone—a substrate of aromatase—produced a 50% increase in the MCF-7aro cell number. This cell proliferation specifically induced by testosterone was significantly reduced by 10µM resveratrol. In addition, 50µM resveratrol significantly reduced the CYP19-encoding mRNA abundance in SK-BR-3 cells. The transcriptional control of CYP19 gene is tissue specific, and promoter regions I.3 and II have previously been shown to be responsible for CYP19 expression in breast cancer cells. Luciferase reporter gene assays revealed that resveratrol could repress the transcriptional control dictated by the promoter regulation. The present study illustrated that pharmacological dosage of resveratrol inhibited aromatase at both the enzyme and mRNA levels.

Trans-Resveratrol (trans-3,4',5-trihydroxystilbene) is a natural antioxidant that is widely consumed in the Mediterranean Diet in the form of peanuts, grapes, and wine. The interest in compounds present in wine increased when epidemiologic studies indicated an inverse correlation between red wine consumption and the incidence of cardiovascular disease. This finding prompted considerable interest in the possible effects of trans-resveratrol, leading to the description of several beneficial effects on health. In addition of being an antioxidant and a vasorelaxing agent, it modulates lipoprotein metabolism, inhibits platelet aggregation, and exerts cancer chemopreventive and therapeutic activity (1,2). In eliciting these actions, trans-resveratrol triggers a variety of established cellular and molecular effectors, the most remarkable of which is the estrogen response systems. Given the structural similarities of trans-resveratrol to diethylstilbestrol (DES)3 and estradiol, and its activity as a modulator of the estrogen-response systems, it has been classified as a phytoestrogen (1,2).

Endogenous estrogens are steroid hormones synthesized by humans and other mammals; these hormones bind to estrogen receptors within cells. The estrogen-receptor complex interacts with unique sequences in DNA (estrogen response elements; EREs) to modulate the expression of estrogen-responsive genes (17). A compound that binds to estrogen receptors and elicits similar responses to endogenous estrogens is considered an estrogen agonist, while a compound that binds estrogen receptors but prevents or inhibits the response elicited by endogenous estrogens is considered an estrogen antagonist. The chemical structure of resveratrol is very similar to that of the synthetic estrogen agonist, diethylstilbestrol (see figure 2), suggesting that resveratrol might also function as an estrogen agonist. However, in cell culture experiments resveratrol acts as an estrogen agonist under some conditions and an estrogen antagonist under other conditions (18, 19). In estrogen receptor-positive breast cancer cells, resveratrol acted as an estrogen agonist in the absence of the endogenous estrogen, 17beta-estradiol, but acted as an estrogen antagonist in the presence of 17beta-estradiol (20, 21). At present, it appears that resveratrol has the potential to act as an estrogen agonist or antagonist depending on such factors as cell type, estrogen receptor isoform (ER alpha or ER beta), and the presence of endogenous estrogens (17).

Rhodiola Rosea. Ext 4% Rosavins:
Rhodiola extract standardized to contain at least 4% rosavins. Standardizing the Rhodiola extract in this high of a concentration of rosavins makes it consistently more potent than other supplements that are standardized at 2 or 3%.

Russian research shows that it increases muscle anabolic activity, stimulates production of ATP (adenosine triphosphate, the key energy source in the body) and creatine phosphate (energy reserve) and prolongs stamina during periods of intense physical stress. Rhodiola rosea also reduces cardiovascular recovery time, even after strenuous muscular/physical workouts.

  1. Improves memory and mental performance, and has anti-fatigue, anti-stress and antidepressant properties
  2. Improves physical performance, reducing exhaustion and accelerating recovery after heavy training workloads, and increases muscle energy production, protein synthesis and anabolic activity
  3. Improves erectile dysfunction and/or premature ejaculation in men
  4. Activates lipolytic (fat breakdown) processes and mobilizes fat from adipose tissue
  5. Reduces or prevents stress-induced heart damage
  6. Reduces liver toxicity from various anticancer drugs while enhancing their anticancer action
Enhances thyroid function without causing hyperthyroidism, protects the thymus gland from the shrinkage that comes with stress and aging, and increases adrenal gland reserve without causing adrenal hypertrophy
  7. Has antioxidant effects, reducing lipid peroxidation and preventing intestinal damage after acute x-ray exposure
  8. Is incredibly safe, with an estimated LD50 (lethal dose for 50 percent of test animals) for humans of 235 grams for a 154-pound person.5

Sulbutiamine:

  • Precursor to Thiamine
  • Improve memory
  • Reduces Fatigue

Sulbutiamine crosses the blood brain barrier more easily than vitamin B1 because of its lipophilic properties. It leads to an increased formation of thiamine triphosphate (TTP) that acts as a regulator of the synaptic transmission of many neurotransmission systems.
Sulbutiamine is a thiamine derivative which has two different properties in comparison with vitamin B1 as a result of structural modification of free thiamine, namely opening of the thiazole ring, esterification of the alcohol groups and dimerization, with formation of a disulfide bridge.

Agaricus Bisporus Extract:
White button mushrooms (Agaricus bisporous) are a potential breast cancer chemopreventive agent, as they suppress aromatase activity and estrogen biosynthesis. Therefore, we evaluated the activity of mushroom extracts in the estrogen receptor-positive/aromatase-positive MCF-7aro cell line in vitro and in vivo. Mushroom extract decreased testosterone-induced cell proliferation in MCF-7aro cells but had no effect on MCF-10A, a nontumorigenic cell line. Most potent mushroom chemicals are soluble in ethyl acetate. The major active compounds found in the ethyl acetate fraction are unsaturated fatty acids such as linoleic acid, linolenic acid, and conjugated linoleic acid. The interaction of linoleic acid and conjugated linoleic acid with aromatase mutants expressed in Chinese hamster ovary cells showed that these fatty acids inhibit aromatase with similar potency and that mutations at the active site regions affect its interaction with these two fatty acids. Whereas these results suggest that these two compounds bind to the active site of aromatase, the inhibition kinetic analysis indicates that they are noncompetitive inhibitors with respect to androstenedione. Because only conjugated linoleic acid was found to inhibit the testosterone-dependent proliferation of MCF-7aro cells, the physiologically relevant aromatase inhibitors in mushrooms are most likely conjugated linoleic acid and its derivatives. The in vivo action of mushroom chemicals was shown using nude mice injected with MCF-7aro cells. The studies showed that mushroom extract decreased both tumor cell proliferation and tumor weight with no effect on rate of apoptosis. Therefore, our studies illustrate the anticancer activity in vitro and in vivo of mushroom extract and its major fatty acid constituents.

Procyanidin:
One particular type of phenol found in grape seed is called procyanidin. As well as the disease prevention mentioned above, procyanidins are thought to protect the body from premature aging. Scientists think they do this by increasing vitamin C levels in the cells and scavenging for toxins so the organs can get rid of them.
Procyanidins also bond with collagen, the most abundant protein in the body and a key component of skin, gums, bones, teeth, hair and body tissues.
The bonding promotes cell health and skin elasticity, making it seem more youthful, in a process that works almost like a natural face-lift. Procyanidins additionally help protect the body from sun damage, which can also cause premature ageing of the skin.
Far more important to your body than looking good, is the fact that procyanidins can improve your vision, the flexibility of your joints, the health of your arteries and body tissues (such as the heart) and also strengthen capilliaries and veins to improve your circulatory system.
It seems that grape seed extract delays the oxidation of low density lipoproteins, the fats that are responsible for “bad cholesterol”. NEED more info here..attributing to muscle

Ophiopogon Root:
Studies on ophiopogon have shown it to possess antipyretic, antitussive, expectorant, diuretic, cardiotonic and tonifying properties. It has also been reported to lower blood sugar, reduce inflammation and protect the body from bacterial infections.
In traditional Chinese medicine, ophiopogon is believed to moisten the lungs and nourish yin; strengthen the stomach; clear away heat in the heart; and moisten the bowels to relieve constipation. It is also believed by some to be a very powerful shen tonic need more info here for endurance
