I competed in my first bench press competition on Saturday and perfomed pretty good. I entered the 220lb. lifetime open class and I competed in a repetition contest where you see how many times you can bench your own weight. I expected to bench around 375 or 380 but still took first place with 355. I didn't take into consideration the pause at the bottom of the lift. It was a good learning experience though. I benched my weight 20 times and got first in that too. The meet was held by the WNPF in Lake City, FL. I look forward to competing again next time I shoot for 400 then maybe I'll get 385 or so.

Congrats Fitz!
That is a pretty good bp. Only losing ~#20-25 because you had to pause it, it very good. Many people are a lot father off than that.

Very good man. You've now taken the first step to powerlifterdom. It's a beautiful, but yet painful journey, but boy, oh boy is it fun! Your probably now hooked for life. Keep up the great work man, your numbers are great!
