I am always trying to gain wieght so this is whole losing weight thing has me a little puzzeled. Getting to the point

My wife doesn't do weight training right now (trying to get pregnant and she thinks it will make her "lose the baby" I tried it is a lose lose situation)she usually does long walks while pushing my 2.5 year old up and down the hills, or does one of those videos like power yoga or Minna Lessig videos. So she has asked me to come up with a post work out shake. PS she is lactose intolerant. And she is trying to lose weight.

So I was going to get her get her the Optimum Nut. Soy Protein since she drinks soy milk anyways. But what kind of carbs should she drink after and how much?

Honestly, i don't see a need for a 'pwo shake' in this case. Unless she has problems downing a meal or something, fitting cardio before a meal, a specific shake isn't needed in my opinion.

BUT since you asked and knowing that she is lactose intolerant, i would suggest trying whey isolate. Better still, a blend like XF Ultra peptide which contains wpi, casein and egg. These shakes are low/no lactose.

With that, she may have her favorite low glycemic carb source (oats/potatoes and so on) or even a serving of fruit if she's in the mood. Nothing to worry about in my opinion. This pwo shake, considering the activity she's doing, should be the last thing on her mind if she's looking to lose weight. I'd be more concerned with her meals over the entire day.
