Hey ya'll,
I'm new to supps and am so far lost trying to figure out what I need to take. I am 25, 150lbs, 5'10" and can't put on weight to save my life. I've got jeans 10 years old I still fit in. I'm in the USAF deployed, so I get 3 - 4 hearty meals a day(eggs, beef, fish, chicken) and plenty of gym time. I do cardio (run) 3-4 times a week and weights every other day. All I've got access to is a shaker cup and whatever I can dump in it - no blender. I'm not trying to get huge (yet), but I have had no forward progress - I've got to keep my cardio up and with my metabolism I don't think I'm replacing what I burn. What's my best route? I would like to add 25-30 lbs of good muscle and maintain it - point me in the right direction - and thanks!

First, thanks for defending freedom and making the sacrifices that being the the armed service must involve.
I would surmise all that running and cardio is great for you BUT you are probably spiking the heck out of your cortisol levels and that is holding you back. One supplement that controls cortisol is Leci-PS Phosphotiydal Serine. That can get expensive though since you have to take about eight softgels to effectively blunt cortisol. Also BSN Betalin contains a methoxy compound that may temporarily blunt cortisol also when taken after a workout : http://www.discountanabolics.com/page/DA/PROD/BSN/BB7.
You may have noticed how endurance atheletes have markedly different body compositions than weightlifters so you need to find out what will work for you. Also designer supps glucophase XR contains K-R-ala which can help you program your muscle's insulin sensitivity for protein uptake:

In a week or two nutrabolics is coming out with a similiar product called InsuleanK, but it is not availble yet. I am currently using glucophase.
However the most important thing is probably to split off your cardio from your weight lifting days, and implement a split routine (chest day, back day, leg day, arm day) with regard to your bodypart focus when lifting and to crank up the intensity when lifting.
That is lift heavier weights and bomb the body parts you are working on.
Try a 5x5 set and rep routine with heavy weight for the bench press for a change up. REad the "Chains" thread in the training section. You might try some pump type products like AE2 and NO Infuse transdermal and SAN OX. If you only have a shaker try ergopharm's protein powder with ice and water. Anyway you should get DOMS (sore muscles) 24-48 hours after lifting if you push enough weight. Like Ronnie Coleman said "Everybody wants big ass biceps, but don't nobody want to lift no heavy ass weights"
Go air force!

Also wanted to say that any workout over 60 minutes and cortisol will start to spike so crank up the intensity and shorten the workout times.
