Hey guys, I'm currently looking to shed some bf with a 40/40/20 ratio diet. Do you think it would be better to run it 40/30/30? or 40/20/40? If what I have now is good then please let me know. My calories are 500 under maintenance. Thanks for feedback!!!

i guess it really depends on how much you want to lose and how fast, will you do cardio? etc. when i diet or cut i repond well to a low carb diet or carb cyling. whats your stats? need more info to really tell you much

Well my main goal is to shed bf. If I shed weight along the way, then hey ill be cool with that. Because eventually I want to get around 9-14% bf, then clean bulk and add good lbs. My stats are 6', 205, 22% bf. But the sooner the better, I want to start seeing my abs soon lol.

Oh sorry forgot to add, yes I will be doing cardio (HIIT) 1st thing in the morning on an empty stomach 3-4 days a week. I drink a shake before only on my weight training days.

ok well just done over do the cardio or start in with that much, work your way up. and the longer or slower you plan to lose the fat the better. id say go with around 2600 cals low carb style with carb cycling . for most days stay under 120g of carbs a day. maybe once a week stay under 60g. then one day a week(have 300g or so of carbs) with this diet its important to not cheat often and eat the proper foods only, chicken, fish, eggs, egg whites, lean beef, whey shakes, oats, brown rice, grits etc. try to stay away from dairy and a lot of fruit. they have simple sugars and milk has fat thats hard to digest. i hope this gets you started and helps. maybe others will chime in. best of luck!
