I work out once a week. Well, a muscle once a week. Here's how it goes

Monday - Back and Biceps

For my biceps I normally do:

Straight Bar Curls
Preacher Curls w/ easy curl bar
Incline Dumbell Curls
Hammer Curls

My rep set goes 8 reps add 10 pounds 6 reps add ten pounds 4 reps. Its like that on every exercise. Is that too many for my biceps? I mean...to many exercises? What do yall think should I take off Incline Dumbells and leave it at 3 exercises?

My Chest day I do:

Incline Dumbell, Flatt Dumbell, and Decline dumbell presses. Also the 8 6 4 set. Is that too many also for one day?

its hard to say "X amount of sets is overtraining". Dorian Yates did almost nothing at the gym and still got huge. on the other end of the spectrum, Arnold spent hours in the gym and got huge. Everyone is a littler differant (arnie had AAS on his side though).

I'd say if you're seeing gains, stay with it. If you're plateuing, maybe lose an exercise from bis. I'd probably add 2-3 sets of flies to your chest day.

Also play with your rep scheme. Try doing 3 sets of 4-6 reps per exercise for a while. Then try 3 sets of 10-12 reps. Try everything and use what works best, but change your workouts constantly so they dont get old.

Ever since Doc suggested I may have been overtraining I cut back, and it's made a huge difference. With biceps I don't go past 9 sets. If i do one bodypart I won't go past 40 minutes, and that's because my warm up lasts ten. ( that's on chest and back) Legs take me a little longer because SQuats KILL ME!!
