NOTES:
- I probably could have pushed for more than 1 at 90lbs for military, but without a spotter I was concerned about my form and quit early
- I need a new pair of straps for my shrugs, my grip strength failed every set before my traps did
- I felt nice and swole and saw great pumps in my delts and traps.
- Flavor system was really remarkable, this stuff tastes great. Axis did a really good job on this, a million times better than NOxplode or even Sizeon

OFF DAY - Friday April 7th
DIdn't really want to take an off day today, but I've had tickets for a Taking Back Sunday concert since they went on pre-sale in like November or early December. Between some errands and the concert I didn't work a lift in today. Tommorow is unlikely, so I'll have to hit it hard for the next week. I may do some cardio tommorow so long as the weather is okay
Next up, Legs!

NOTES:
-My first leg day in nearly a year! I had a hamstring injury I had to rehab but its feeling good lately and I've been playing hockey with it, so all sings point to go
-I also have chronic knee pain and I found in mainly my squats that the pressure on my knees seemed to outweight true "fatigue" in my quads
-Due to that knee pain I've always used the Smith Machine for squats, I used free weights (barbell) for the first time since high school. It felt okay, but I think I need to invest in wraps for my knees.
-One day later my legs are in so much pain haha, its a good pain though. I'm looking forward to making nice gains in my wheels for once. My knees feel good today as well, so that makes me optimistic for the future.
-pumps were real significant. Even could have been over the top in terms of my calves

_________________________40lbs X20
* = I perform this on the hammer strength machine. The way i do these is first i perform 3 normal reps with both sides. I then hold the left side in a static position while I perform 3 reps with my right arm. I then switch arms and perform the 3 reps with my left side while holding the right arm in a static position. I finish the sets off by performing standard reps with both sides to failure
** = These flies are done with a standard cable unit. I put a grip on both top pulleys and both low pulleys. I begin by holding the top pulley with my right hand and the opposite bottom pulley with my left hand. I pull these together and touch at chest level. I then switch sides and complete the set.
NOTES:
-Pumps were great, made my upper chest look very defined during my workout.
-Weights or reps improved in every exercise from last week.

They seem good, but not too long ago I can remember benching 315lbs for sets of four. Of course, i tore my pec during this time lol, but thats besides the point!
Just sucks to be lifting less than you remember. In a month or two I'll jump on cycle and I'm sure I'll be back on track.

NOTES
-I swapped legs and chest this week because I had hockey sunday
-This was a really great chest workout. Again, my lifts all went up this week.
-For incline DBS, I wanted to use 75lbers which would have been a 5lb increase from last week. However, for some reason my gym only has 1 75lb DB :x really pisses me off
-I also worked out my forearms in various manners today in between sets
-I'm really loving smash, and at this point i can safely say it will be a staple in my arsenal. Every couple months I'll be likely to use this again.

_____________125lbs X5 (+20lbs) (-3 reps)
NOTES
-Was running late for work, so i couldn't do calves. I'll do them tommorow to make up for it.
-Great day! Legs were pumped as hell
-Tried front squats, but I've never been able to do these without killing my shoulders from the bar. Guess they are just not for me.

Awesome to hear that you enjoyed HyperTEST bro. Nothing but good feedback with that product and the positive libido effects.

haha I definitely noticed a huge jump in libido too.
I have a few updates to make, and I'll be working chest today. I'm hoping to manhandle 240lbs for 8-10reps on flat bench today.
I really loved this combo of smash and hyperTest. Its hard to attribute my results to them, I'm assuming since I'm young that hypertest didn't really promote my gains too much and they are mostly thanks to SMASH.
I guess the only reason to really know is for Axis to send me another bottle of each and I'll report back my findings ;)

Hey Wedgy....good to see you here again. I myself do not get around here nearly as often as I would like, and I miss a lot of things....just now found this thread.
I tried a sample of smash last month sometime, and I did like it. Of course, it is hard to judge with one serving, but I did like it. I remember....I did not take anything else with it so I could judge the effects purely of the smash. I had a good workout with good energy and focus. I thought....this is something I would consider buying in the future.
IMO, the smash really "smashes" the heck out of Controlled Labs Purple Wraath, as far as in the taste dept, and sweeteners used. Now I realize these are two different types of products, and maybe not a fair comparison, but I had recently tried a sample of their 2nd version, and it was one of the worst things I ever tried. I literally hated it. So that was fresh in my mind when I tried the smash, since they are both for pre-workout. Also, I know that BCAA's taste like crap, so again, maybe not the best comparison.
But this is why I bring this up. The wraath had an unbelievably sweet taste, and very bad sweet after taste. I would have known that it had Acesulfame K or Aspartame, just by this bad taste. In this case, it was Acesulfame K. I have said it before and I will keep saying it....these two artificial sweeteners should not be in any "health" product....jmho. Anyway, I had to keep adding water and more water as I sipped it, until it had no flavor, but tasted like a bad tasting sweet water. I mentioned they could use Stevia and sucralose and leave out the AK. The reply I rec'd concerning my review of the sample was that it was the least sweetest of their products, and that in the third version, they made it even more sweet. Also, they said that Stevia did not formulate well with these types of products.
Well, I have to disagree with that, and the point of bringing all this up is that the smash has only stevia and sucralose, and it tastes great, and not overly sweetened. So thank you Axis Labs for doing a fine job, making a fine product, and proving that you can use stevia to formulate these products, instead of Acesulfame K and Aspartame.
Wedg....sorry to hijack your log...and it is an excellent log at that...again, good to see you back.

PBK, its really great to see you around!
I agree, the flavor of smash is outstanding, and the fact that they only use stevia/sucralose is all the more impressive.
I've tried purple wrath in grape and that stuff tastes pretty nasty, you're right.
