ok never done this before, usually very good at bottling shit up.
but here goes.

ive worked here at my job, which by the way is a gym.
a gym exclusivly for a country club, where the members are senators and doctors and what.......ever.

i hate this job btw, i mean i should love it, but the way im treated for 10 bucks an hour, f#@k !!

look ive had my eye for almost 2 years now on this crate in the office with a bunch of really cool stuff like, ankle weights, dumbells, shit like that.

last sunday i finally worked up the nerve to ask my boss for some stuff.
cuz no one uses it and it just sits there.

and he didnt pick up his cell phone. i called 3 times and no answer.

so i figured i would talk to him today. and what happens?

in the span of 2 days he gets rid of it.

wtf.

he gave it to some poor school.

as i know i should feel great that under privledged children are getting to pump iron and work out.

i still feel angry at my boss.
i think i might quit over something this small.

man im in a dark place right now.

brotha, givin to needy children is a must man, you gotta think on the big picture, sure it sucks that you didn't get it. But promoting health in schools these days is HUGE and should have been addressed years ago. I would have done the same thing your boss did, I may have explained it to you had you asked for the items, but I still woulda donated. Learning even with the most simple forms of workout equipment will allow the children to be creative in creating health weight bearing activities in their daily lives, which will only grow as they get older. Sure there is the age issue, and when kids should or could start weight bearing activities, but at least they have a base. This is huge man, I enjoy seein kids promote these issues to ppl, esp. their parents, whom probably aren't too fit themselves, which can prompt them to take action.

Its hard now man, but a gym job is never as giving as you think it may be, its give and take, a lot of give and listen to ppl esp. at a country club complain about this and that, but ppl do appreciate you and the job you fulfill, so don't get discouraged, I've seen jus as much bad, as I have good at the current gym jobs I have.
