I am a newbie here but not to forums. I have been lurking in here for about 2 weeks. I recently started working out to get in shape and to lose some fat. I am 35 years old and still somewhat athletic. I am always busy working out with my son on his baseball and football. I am just under 5ft8in. Anyway I just decided to eat healthier, workout at least 3-4 times a week with a mix of at least 2 days of cardio. I am really new to staying consistent with my workouts but have been doing so for about 2 months now. I started taking Hydroxycut (just the regular one you can find at Wal-Mart) almost 2 months ago as well. I have lost several inches and my abs are starting to show and I am starting to get more defined. I always had a decent build even though I never worked out much. Even when I carried the extra weight people would say I didn't look fat and I assured them that I was.
Anyway I have been on here looking for something to help me put on some mass(not wanting to get huge) and get cut. (I forgot to mention that I did buy some cheap whey protein at Wal-Mart too.) So anyway, I have seen where people were recommending the Scorch/Vaporize stack and I had thought about getting that but saw that it is out of stock. I had originally thought about trying Muscletech's products(shredded stack) but I have not seen anything good mentioned of them in this forum. Then I have seen some people recommend Leviathan. I was going to wait and ask for opinions before I purchased Leviathan but when I registered in here I could not post for 2 days. Well I went ahead and ordered some because I wanted it to get here before I ran out of the Hydroxycut. I also ordered Evopro too.
Since I am new to all of this (taking supplements) is Leviathan and Evopro enough for a beginner like me or is it too much? Also, I do not like things that mess with my head,(make me feel light headed and jittery)so will Leviathan do that? I know everyone responds differently but what is common?
Of course I am learning about having a good diet to include lots of protein and have changed my eating habits. I do drink more then 10 glasses of water a day and I don't drink sodas. I have also cut out junk food.
I would appreciate any input on the Leviathan and the Evopro. I would also appreciate any suggestions you guys might have for a beginner like me.

I cant personally say anything form experience about evopro but I can regarding Leviathan. I have been running this for close to 45 days now and can honestly say that it works well. No jitters for me(and Im sensitive to caffeine) but great energy. The rhodiola rosea in it helps with mental focus and clarity. The coleus helps with energy and lypolisys. The tribulus in it wont make you huge but will increase strength. The green tea extract will help to boost your metabolism but you may need outside sources of Green tea to help out. All in all it should help you lose some weight while keeping you strong and fit.

Thanks for the info GaB. I don't know how long it will take for the Leviathan to get here but I am ready to get going with it. I am the same with caffeine. I guess when I quit drinking sodas all the time and coffee every now and then, I became sensitive to it. I did get a bit jittery when I first started taking Hydroxycut but it does not bother me much now. I think I can feel it just a little. I would prefer that my head feel normal though.
God knows I could use some mental focus and clarity. Energy is always good to have.
Like I said, I don't want to get huge but It would be nice to add a lil' mass while getting cut.
Thanks again for your info. I sure wish I was up in Colorado right about now. I love the mountains and am due for another Ski trip! By the way, do they still have that restaurant in Denver where they have divers diving off a cliff inside the restaurant? I forgot the name of it but I ate there back in 1989.

Dude, you have a great setup with Evopro/Leviathan. For your age and goals that is a terrific stack, especially with a good diet and some good hard training. I believe you will accomplish some great things on this. Keep us informed.

Thanks for welcoming me. I kind of miss being in one of the forums I belong to but people started getting rude to each other and it wasn't as fun. It is a football forum for 5A Texas football. I am a big fan of Texas High School Football especially the Lufkin Panthers. Most people would not know who they are but if you are from Texas and have any knowledge of 5A football then you will know who they are. Anyway that is where I get my screen name.
Well I am looking forward to getting started with Leviathan. I will keep everyone posted. I never took a before pic of myself before I started the Hydroxycut but I will take one before I start Leviathan. I do have a before pic (with my shirt on) before I started Hydroxycut and you can tell how fat my face looked compared to what it is now. Anyway, I am not out to impress anyone or any ladies. The only lady I want to like my body is my wife. I am just an humble man who wants to take care of the body that God has given me and I want to be healthy. I might post a before and after pic of myself without a shirt on but I think I will feel a bit funny doing that. Anyway I am sure most in here just want to see results.
Once I get the Leviathan and Evopro delivered I will post when I start and go from there.

Ever thought of using a creatine?

I would also look into stacking some sesamin, CLA, B-complex with Leviathan.

Yes but I didn't know if I should just start off with the two supplements since I am a beginner. I might add it a little later on. I am funny when it comes to taking things. I don't like anything that makes my head or body feel out of whack. Does creatine have any side effects like that?

There shouldnt be any sides from Creatine...sometimes Creatine Mono gives bloating but if you get the newer creatines like Creatine Ethyl Ester, you'll be fine. I can recommend Green MAGnitude by Controlled Labs...best creatine ever! Or you can try out MAN Clout.
Just because you're a beginner doesnt mean creatine wont help :P

Since I am a beginner please fill me in on all the benefits of each supplement that you have listed. I have read a a little on sesamin and b-complex in here but I do not know anything about CLA. All your input will be helpful.

Agree 100% on this, they will all act synergistically, and the CLA/B-complex is cheap and effective. I use both daily, usually only the CLA when I can afford it. Seasamin would be a great addition, but you should hold off for now because you're just starting out, you don't wanna get to caught up in the supplement portion of things, you should focus mostly on diet/training bro.
EDIT: no creatine will not give you wierd side effects, but wait on it until you decide where you're going with your goals!

Do I have to drink even more water then the 10+ 8oz glasses that I am already drinking if I take creatine? Is it hard on your liver? Is it just to get a better pump? What are the benefits?

If you decide to use creatine, drink a gallon of water/day. Creatine is not hard on your body in any way, quite beneficial actually. It offers no pump, but can provide muscle growth and strength.

Yeah, just dont take too much creatine because then your body wont be able to use it...there've been many debates on creatine and its effects on the liver over a long period of time...but i think its all balogna.
Just stick to the basics and get everything down.
Good luck :)

I really appreciate everyones input. By the way, about how long does it take to get your stuff once you have ordered it from here? I live in Texas and I ordered my stuff yesterday so I assume my order was processed today. Should I expect it by the end of this week or sometime next week?

So I noticed your sig and had to ask. What is your experience with Muscletech's products? When I went to look for information on Hydroxycut (since that is what I am currently taking) I got interested in some of their products. What I don't get is the fact that the Hydroxycut that I have(purchased at Wal-Mart) appears do be from a different manufacturer then Muscletech. Anyway I saw Hydroxycut hardcore and thought about getting that and then became interested in Muscletech's Shredded Stack. But when I came to this site I found nothing good about Muscletech. Obviously that is why I chose Leviathan. Anyway, I was just curious as to what your experience was with their products.

Some of their products work fine, but for the price and the ingredient list, its cheaper to get different brands. Some of their products are marketing BS, (aplodan, anator p-70, creakic, and gakic) but their leukic was good as a product, just cheaper to buy bulk leucine. Their cell tech/nitro tech aren't bad, but the competition blows them outta the water both price wise and effectiveness wise.

Since GNC is oh so nice and lets me return products if I am uncomfortable with them, I decided to do an "experiment" or so if you will. I forget which product it was, but it was one of the ones claiming to "increase strength by X%" and "activate dormant blah blah". I took the recommended dosage and when I went to lift, nothing. I tried different reps, weight, etc, no dice. So I upped the dosage, nothing really happened.
So I returned the product and got my money back...used that money to buy some Green MAGnitude and XTEND.

Yeah they do. Casa Bonita. They did a South Park episode about it at one point. Food sucks but its still a fun place to get hammered.

Personally Muscletech has little to no effect on me. Gakic worked alright but I would just stick to something like SMASH or NO Shotgun instead. For the money, you really cant beat the deals here on DA. Not to tmention the best selection of any site on the web or the fastest shipping. *ok DA now wheres my free shirt*;) :D

That is good to know. I do have another question. Someone mentioned adding some creatine. What is a good one for a beginner like me? I don't want to pay high dollar unless I have to. I just want something that helps. Remember I don't want to get huge. I just would like to add a little mass. I think my body would look just fine if I get cut but I think a little extra muscle mass wouldn't hurt. All this is a learning experience for me. I am kind of pleased with what I have been able to accomplish in a little less then 2 months with Hydroxycut and the cheap Body Fortress Whey Protein I purchased from Wal-Mart.
I just received an email from DA letting me know my order was shipped today. I am ready to get going. I will let you all know when it gets here and when I start taking it (Leviathan) along with the Evopro.

Well according to UPS, my package from DA should be here tomorrow. Should I wait until the next day to start or should I start after I receive my package?
I also ordered a sample of SMASH from Axis Labs. I haven't received it yet but if I like it I might go ahead and heed the recommendations of a few of you in here and order some.
I am ready to get this thing going and see what kind of results I will get. Thanks to everyone for your input.

I received the Leviathan and Evopro on 3/29/07 and started taking both that day. Obviously it hasn't been a full week but I can say that I don't feel any jitters at all from the Leviathan. When I was taking Hydroxycut(not Hardcore but the kind from Wal-Mart) it made me feel jittery and light headed at first but later on it was not as bad. I am glad that Leviathan does not make me feel like that. I can say that so far I am pleased with the Leviathan but I will have a better opinion of it after about at least 2-3 weeks I would assume. I have not even been on it a full week yet.
I like the cheap Body Fortress whey protein I bought from Wal-Mart better then the Evopro but just because of the taste and because it mixes better than the Evopro. I assume the Evopro is more effective though. Since I am new to supplements I am not sure of what is best or more effective yet. I assume I will learn as I continue to try different things and read everyone's comments in here.
I don't plan on doing a detailed log like most in here but I will definitely keep you posted. Here are my measurements taken the day I started.
Age 35
Height 5'7"
Weight 189
Chest 43 1/2"
Belly 40" (Measured at belly button)
Waist 37"
L Bicep 14 3/4"
R Bicep 15 1/8"
L Thigh 23"
R Thigh 22 1/2"
L Calf 16 3/4"
R Calf 16 7/8"
Body fat% ??? I have never had this checked before and I don't have calipers to check it now.
I wish I would have taken some before pics of when I started working out and taking Hydroxycut about 2 months ago. I have trimmed up some since then but I am not where I want to be. I will try and get some pics this week and post them.
