Alrighty, I have my tanning prods so there's no going back now

2 bottles pro-tan 8.5 fl oz.
1 bottle one-coat bronzer

My contest is Saturday, ya this saturday

So when would be the best day to apply the coats, and in what fashion, 1 on tues, 1 wed, 2 thurs, 2 fri, use 1-coat bronzer on sat

and how does showerin work? can I use a body wash and jus wipe it on my body, or is it a pure rinse for showering. i know that 5hrs after I apply protan i can/should rinse off excess, i'm talkin a normal shower, or should i do my body wash during this time. I need a plan, cuz if I start coating on tues, and can't truly shower till saturday night (holy sh** as i'm typin my energy and excitement is buildin like crazy, anyways) I may stink, considerin I will have tuesdays cardio session completed prior to applyin pro tan, but I will do cardio wed, and some lighter cardio thurs. my weight training will stop tues.

thoughts?

I found these tips.......

EVERYTHING YOU NEED FOR THE PERFECT CONTEST
Step 1: Get Buffed Pre-Tan Exfoliator - Use before initial application of Pro Tan Competition Color to assure maximum absorption. May also be used after competition to assist in the removal of Pro Tan.

Step 2: Pro Tan Competition Color - Use 2 to 3 days before competition. Fair-Medium complexion should apply initial coat 3 days prior to competition. Dark complexion 2 days prior. Spray color directly onto applicator sponge and/or pour into glass and dip sponge directly into color for faster coverage. Brush over entire body. Do not worry about uneven application as Pro tan goes on even every time. After initial application use hair dryer to speed drying. Re-apply an additional cost and dry again. The following morning rinse off the excess color and begin the application process again. That evening re-apply. The day before the show, re-apply in the morning and again in the evening. Be sure to use the entire 8-ounce bottle. Contest morning lightly rinse the excess color off.

Step 3: Ultra Bronze & One Coat - Applied after shower contest morning on dry skin. Dampen hands and apply evenly in smoothing motions over entire body. Apply only one application as it dries darker on the skin. Wash excess color off hands. Before pumping up, apply your Muscle Juice or Muscle Sheen directly over your skin. This will seal in the bronzer and keep it from running or streaking. Use as a quick fix or for that extra bronze look. Wash off after Pre-Judging and re-apply before evening show.

Step 4: Muscle Sheen, Muscle Juice, Hot Stuff & Bikini Bite - The perfect physique finishers. Muscle Sheen is recommended for pre-judge as it gives a mat finish that is easy on the judges eyes. Muscle Juice is recommended for the night show as it gives a sleek look to your physique. Hot Stuff is used to increase your vascularity for both the pre-judge and night show. Apply 5 minutes before pumping up. Note - if Hot Stuff is too hot, apply over the sheen or oil. Bikini Bite is used to keep your suit from slipping. Apply directly to your skin and the inside of the suit, allow drying and press together. Washes off with soap and water after use.

DON'T FORGET… hair removal should be done 30 days before the competition and continued up until the contest to avoid any unnecessary bumps or rashes the day of the show.

DON'T FORGET… if you have trouble achieving a base tan, go to the tanning salon 20 days before competition and continue up until or use a sunless tanning lotion the week before the contest.

Just remember...you CANNOT be too dark up there. Some of the guys I saw that had the best color at my past show applied it twice a day starting the Sunday before the comp then used dream tan #2 the mourning of.

If I was you, I would put on two coats tuesday thru thursday. Space showers out so they are a few hours away or more from putting the tan on. Shave less often. Don't put on deodorant after your alst shower friday evening or on saturday mourning.

example:

Monday:
shave monday night

Tuesday:
am: apply tan, wear darker clothes
pm: shower, then apply tan and go to bed after 20-30 min (have dark colored sheets)

Wed:
am: shower, apply tan, wear darker clothes
pm: shower, apply tan and go to bed 20-30 min later

Thursday:
am: shower, apply tan, wear darker clothes
pm: shower, shave for the last time! apply tan and go to bed 20-30 min later

Friday:
am: shower and apply tan, start driving to your show (your elaving friday right?)
pm: light light shower, apply tan, try to get some sleep...

Saturday:
am: light rinse, blot dry, touch up any spots, apply bronzer and pat yourself on the back. You now have a mean ass tan.

Also keep in mind..
1. Apply smaller amounts around knees, elbows, and underarms...these places hold the tan easier and will discolor if you put a lot on in those areas
2. As the week goes on....shower more lightly...as in dont scrub your skin as much, just lightly under your arms and around your groin and what not....
3. Again, no deodorant after friday nights shower....
4. Your last couple showers are basically hopping in and rinsing off excess color. Less than 5 min. NO scrubing.
5. Only shaving the one time cause when you shave....you literally peel your tan off.

another thing: Take that sponge they give you and burn it!!!!! It would take you the better part of a day to put the tan on with the sponge. Get rubber gloves and just spray right on the glove and rub it in!

I have some of the hot stuff....it just makes my skin really red and blotchy looking. Makes me actually look worse. I can let you try it though.

I'm good on the hot stuff, I blotch up as well. So, can I use spray on deodorant, or somethin to keep the pit stench down. And I figured the shower would be light, i'll get the body wash and jus use a dab around "the essentials"

try the spray deodorant earlier in the week and see if it discolors under your arm. If it doesnt then you can prolly use a light spray for the show. My normal deodorant just made my underarms turn a yellowish/greenish color when it came in contact with the tan. It wasnt hugely noticable...but i figured i just dieted for the better part of a college semester and why risk anything to smell a little better for half a day....

I heard the ph balance can be thrown off, thus the chemical reaction, not sure on the truth, but if it turned green, something went wrong

It wasnt like green green, it just had an off color hue to it slightly greenish/yellow...bottom line= it didnt match the rest of the tan...

tanning is just so fun jk. i always worried so much about it in my past contests cause id get to the show and see everyone else darker and looking more natural. then the dream tan would run...blawwwww. im just gona tan the hell out of my skin fake baking then use pro tan for several coats. hot stuff isnt allowed neway but ppl will still bring it and get yelled at. many are allergic to it!

ps. dont worry about your body odor. trust me, there are many many other huge, dark, and STINKIER guys there...and girls lol

U looked tan as hell today for just fake baking. Don't be surprised if your first couple coats of protan don't do much of anything....

Well bro, my suggestion is to be totally clean before you apply each one. And when you do shower, just hit the pits, man area, and feet and of course your hair/face. for the rest, rinse and let the soap flow over you, but dont scrub.

coat 1, complete, damn that takes forever

i did use the brush, my gf did actually, it worked well, took awhile, but went on very even, by the time she was done doin my arms (final parts) everything was dry. this is not gonna be the most comfortable feeling, but it looks pretty natural, and she blended it so my face isn't tooooo white, but it is noticeably whiter, tomorrows coat, i'll put it on my face, i figure do every other
