I would rather see Shogun sign a 4 fight contract with the UFC;)

Great news though if it holds true.

The UFC light heavyweight division is actually pretty deep at this time. Here are the fighters I would like to see fight Shogun:

Rashad Evans
Keith Jardine
Jason Lambert
Chuck Liddell
Ryoto Machida
Tito Ortiz

Maybe a remach with Sobral.

Actually what I would really like to see is Bisping thrown in the cage with Shogun because I think Bisping needs to get a beating which Shogun would easily deliver.

I hope it true. It is kinda like when rumors started about Cro-Cop, he denied it too but hopefully Shogun and Filho and other Brazilians will come over to the UFC.

After more research I think its safe to say that he is going to fight in the UFC. 2 fights and I'm not sure when though. He has upcoming matches in Pride.

Shogun will DOMINATE in the UFC. That is a bad man with a pretty complete arsenal. Id like to see Shogun vs. Chuck. Id be williing to bet that Shogun would have no problem standing with Chuck.

why would these guys come over to UFC if the purses are bigger in Pride and they are fairly dominate in their own right in that league?

I would say for the fame and also just to prove they are the best in the world. The average U.S. MMA fan doesnt know much about the guys from Pride. You ask someone about the UFC and they'll know at least a few fighters, but most people dont even know that Pride exists. Of course, we(knowledgeable fans) know that most of the top fighters actually fight in Pride. There are some great fighters in the UFC, but Pride has several more TOP fighters. Id only put maybe 3 UFC guys in the top 10. Just my .02

If everyone hasn't heard the UFC MAY have bought Pride. Nothing confirmed yet though. But could you imagine the Grand Prix's? *drools* The match-ups would be orgasmic. It would definitely be a turning point for MMA.

Yeah I was going to say something about it but since I didn't know for sure I keep it to myself.

Which forum member should we send our $100 and SASE to for the Liddell Rampage fight?

Shogun, Shmogun. I want to see fedor take on couture and put him back in retirement. I really want to see hickson gracie in the ufc too. Oh well i kno this is about shogun but hes good and all I just enjoy watching fedor drop fools and never break facial expressions. Classic.

So what do you think that means? I suppose more fighters crossing over the line into UFC and vice versa?

It means as a fan we will now be able to see the superfights everyone has wished for for soo long. Most of these high level fights will likely take place in the USA under UFC.

I'm affraid Pride may turn into the minor leagues for the UFC. Only time will tell.

I hope that doesnt happen, but I think you could be right. Hopefully, this will open up new opportunities for Superheavies so I can see Bob Sapp get beat up in the cage. Id also like to see more open weight class fights, but that will probably only be done in Pride, cause Im not too sure on the stipulations here in the US.

And as far as Sapp goes, I really dont understand him. Not to get off the main toic but the guy is ginormous, all he has to do is use all those muscles he has, but he still gets beat up, I dont get it.

I am excited to guys like Henderson, Shogun, Wandy, Filho, Arona mix it up with the UFC guys. The pay per view should be insane!
