alright...ivee herd many thingsss bout alcohol and protein and wht not...i need the real answerrrr...wht does alcohol do to ur muscles/ protein synthesis.anytihng...and comparee wht beer does to wht liqour does..thank you

in a nut shell it means you won't build muscle as fast, instead you'll store fat and you start to get man boobs after a while....

well that aint goodd...i dunt wanna drink butt my ffriends pump me up all the timee n i have too go to the barr n clubss...im taking BAM/JW/X-factor...will it hinder the results

The body views the alcohol in the body as a toxin and therefore it will shut down protein synthesis to give a full effort to removing the alcohol from the body.

i don't think it actually lowers test levels. there was a time (college) where i could, and did out drink everyone, daily, for numerous years. I don't have boobs, however no matter how much I worked out I couldn't gain a pound.

This is the kinda thread that gets me fired up....

" I want to help my body by taking supplements and working out, but I also want to drink."

If you want to have good nutrition and help your body grow more effectively, then don't drink. It is really that simple. Nothing good comes from Alcohol.

Just my take.

how bout do what you want


drink heavily and its gonna hinder your gains

dont drink at all and be boring

orrrr drink on friday or saturday have a little fun and its not gonna set you back

Oooh oooh, thats not true! I got to ride in the back seat of one of those cool little cars with the flashing lights and sirens. Good times....

But seriously, alcohol is toxic to your body. That is why you get the "drunk" sensation. As far as hindering muscle gains and increasing estrogen, I've heard all that before. I've cut down like crazy because I want to take better care of my body. But I can't lie, I'm a sucker for a nice dark local brewery beer.

Do whatever you'd like, but i'd recommend light use at best...

Or no use! --- I used to drink a while back while working out. I know from experience, since I have been dry I have made tons more progress in even less time.

Put it this way, DRINK or WORKOUT... whichever you choose, you can't do the other because if you do, it shows your ignorance. BE SMART dude, use your head... this one is very very simple as far as your body goes. "waaa but arnold drank sniffle sniffle" Yes, he did, but he also did enough steroids to make you sterile.

Seriously man, it may be fun now but the fun usually dont last too long. With alcohol, you can get in trouble with the police, damage your body, do something you might regret, see what I'm saying. The alcohol will most definitely be counter productive to your bodybuilding. It is ultimately your choice. I hope you make the right decision.

If you booze you lose..... haha

If I do drink, it is maybe twice a year.

For instance, I have not drank at all this year... but I am going to at my bachelor party on July 14th, but that will probably be the only time I do the rest of the year.
