View Full Version : Bench Press Advice...??????

Currently placed first in Virginia press competition at a press weight of 350lbs. My next event will be on March 17th 2007, my goal is 405lbs.

My max during workouts is 365lbs. and lock outs at 405lbs.

Here's my question, I'm stuck! What can I do to break that bridge and get over this platuea of 365lbs. Any advice for new workout routines or any thing that I can do to aid my goal of max press of 405lbs.?!?!?

I currently take Dymatize Xpand and Anator.

you need to find out your weakness, being that it may be your triceps, delts or chest. or you might need to strengthen your lats or biceps. they are all the muscles involved, and a bit of forearms

do you have trouble locking out, can you not get it off your chest when it comes down. or once you get it off your chest and 1/3 distance from lockout does it come back down.

look for these things and i can tell you what you need to work on.
also, do you do rotator cuff workouts?

im going to assume you arch your back too right?
