The above, plus cheese! (cheese is actually really good for you if you get the fat free kind.)
Grab some cottage cheese and/or yogurt.
Frozen veggies/fruits are sweet to have
whole grain pastas arent that bad for you either.
Although you dont wanna pour carbs down your throat, they are not 'bad' for you, when you eat them in moderation.
Fruits are a decent simple carb source, oatmeal is good for complex carbs.

Get whole grain pasta as opposed to regular. Ground sirloin as opposed to traditional hamburger meat. And I would drop the roast beef off the list, its not very lean. Just plain Quaker Oats oatmeal instead of anything instant or with sugars or flavors added in. If you're gonna get a mayo sort of thing, I prefer miracle whip light. And everything else has already been mentioned...

I've always got ground sirloin, less grease and it doesn't "shrink" as much. I don't like mayo so that isn't a problem. Thanks for all the help guys!! Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

All the above dude, especially the multi grain pasta (they also have one made of spinach).
Throw in some sweet potatoes (baked) or you can make a nice souffle using nuts, raisins, honey, and a lil vanilla extract. All healthy, and it tastes great! :D

Dude its real easy. Boil the potatoes until they're soft mash them up real good (like you would do mash potatoes, add a lil milk). Add all of your other stuff (nuts, raisins, honey, etc) dash about a 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla in there put it in a baking pan, bake for about 20-25 mins...............BOOM! Complex carbs, with a lil protein. Taste great man! Eat about an hour before you workout you'll be good to go!

MMMMMmmmmmm........cheese, and more cheese, and yogurt. Of course I had to throw it up for the dairy recommendation. I probably consume enough dairy products to put a couple of guys with the smallest intolerance for the stuff on the sh%&#er for hours. That's a prime example of "to each his own"; what works for one might not for another. *whispering* If anyone hasn't tried soy milk, I just did and I think it tastes better than the real deal, and throws a totally different protein into the mix. We grow soybeans here too so my farmin' buddies shouldn't mind.

*EDIT* I also picked up some tilapia cause it was on sale, fish is good isn't it?????

Of course it is. Unless you're making sushi, then it's probably too old (if it was on sale). How are you going to cook it?

i'm not making sushi. I'm probably going to cook it on my george foreman grill. A little virgin olive oil, a dash of all purpose seasoning....mmmmm it's gonna be good!!

Haha, I LOVE skim milk. I can't drink anything but that. All the other kinds of milk have too thick of a consistency for me and they don't get as cold as skim...
Tilapia is a great fish. I wouldn't recommend it on the Foreman though. Throw it in a tin foil wrap (roll the sides up so it doesn't leak) with about a tablespoon or so of olive oil and a teaspoon of minced garlic. Bake it for a bit covered, then take the top tin foil off and let it brown for like 5 minutes or until the fish flakes with a fork.
The garlic is something else you should invest in. Get a big ass jar of the minced garlic. One of my favorite seasonings and its really good for you. Great in tuna too!

Search the diet section for tons of information on macros etc....
Slice up your steak or chicken, add vegetables, fry it all up in seasame oil, season to taste ( I like szechuan ) and you have Stir Fry. You can change up the ingedients enough to keep it interesting. Serve with brown rice or whole wheat pasta if you like.
