View Full Version : My X-factor and Green Bulge log to Mass and Strength

I finally decided to give X-factor a go. I have heard great things and can?t wait to see what it does for me. This will be my second time taking Green Bulge and it worked great the first time. I would love to gain 10+ pounds on this stack while keeping the same or slightly higher body fat. I am still in the bulking stage and might consider bulking through the summer. I also hope to add strength with this stack.

Lifting Background- I started lifting about 3 years ago on and off when I found out I had Crohns disease. I wanted to gain some mass and strength. I slowly stopped until about 9 months ago when I go into it really hardcore, then I messed my finger up and couldn't go for like 2 months. Well when that was better I found out I need a type of surgery like a hernia and that put me out again for 4 months. So I have been lifting straight for 3 months. I didn't make any really great gains because I was not eating right due to the Crohns. These last three months have been great; I have gained about 15 pounds and most of it being muscle I hope.

Supplements- I have only taking the basics. I used to take cellmass and no-xplode. I am currently taking cytogainer, and animal Pak. I also took my first X-factor today and will take 5 Green bulge pre-workout today.

Training- Right now I am starting a three day split to change things up a little bit
Monday- Chest/Triceps
Wed- Back/Biceps
Friday- Shoulders/Legs

Off-days I will do slight cardio, abs, and stretching.

Diet- Will follow with Log

I do have somewhat of a hard time gaining weight and hope this helps. I will post before pictures soon and also a picture from last summer to compare how far I have some since then.

Stats- No size measurements at this time
Age- 19 almost 20
Height- 5' 8"
Weight- 143 (will confirm later)
Body fat- ??

Since its hard for you to gain weight make sure that cardio stays very light if you do any. Its always good to change up the routine, spark new growth and what and not. Good luck.

Thanks Nemisis. I do a brisk incline walk for like 10-15 minutes to try and keep body fat down.


Day 1 Monday Feb 20, 2007

Chest/Triceps

Strength - Was not all there today. Still due to the fact his is my first week back after having surgery on my back (tissue removed). Benching sort-of aggravated the scar.

Fullness- Seem alot fuller today. Triceps looked great and they were hard as a rock. Chest was popping out.

Sides- None

Barbell Flat bench-
Bar-warmup
135- 12x
155- 10x
185- 4x This is mostly where i felt the weakest because the pressure on my back. Usually do about 8-9 reps then 225 for 4

Dumbell Flat Bench-
60 - 12x
80 - 10x
80 - 10x
40 - 12x

Incline Dumbell Bench-
LIGHTWEIGHT
35 - 12x
40 - 10x
50 - 8x
60 - 6x


TRICEPS
Rope Pulldowns-

Overall- Decent warkout, no sides yet, and felt fuller. The strength was not all there, but could be due to not being in the gym for a few weeks and back still being sore. I was doing lower weights higher reps today, but will go back to a 6,8,10 split.

Yeah, all i do is eat and i eat good. I am going to be going to school for Athletic training/sports medicine and doctor of physical therapy.

Day 2 Yesterday, Off day

Weight- 144 (+1)

Sides- None to date

Overall- Cant tell much yet. Feeling good, but shoulder overtraing flared up a little after chest. I will not be doing a lot for shoulder for a while but will do what i can.

Back and biceps today, update later in the day.

Strength- Slightly up, fatigue was there

Sides- Little more sweating

Weight- 144.5 (+1.5)

Overall- Felt good in the gym, slight fatigue, gaining some good weight, hoping its not water weight.

Ya thats some ridiculous strength bro, you use the same weight/reps on your dips as I do and I weigh 207 (as of this morning anyways). So definitely keep up the hard work man, I'm sure this will be a helluva run for you! Good luck

Day 4 Biceps

Since my biceps were not sore today i decided to do a good bicep workout today.

Cant really remember the weights because i forgot my notebook.

Preacher Curls- 90x5 was the most

Chinups- 10,10,8,6,faliure

Chinup and 15lb DB curls superset

Hammer Curls- (Was Dead at this point) 30x10 20x20 15xfailure

Machine Sitted Curls- 45x12 55x10 80x8 90x4

Strength- Was ok, think i could of done more

Sides- Slight more acne, weird dream, other than that none

Overall- GREAT pump, strength was good, felt energized throughout my session.

Weight- 146.2 (+3.2lbs):eek:

Day 5 Shoulders

Keep in mind that these are very light weight due to overtraining my shoulders a month ago, they are still not fully healed so i am keeping it light.

Overall- I feel great in the gym and am always ready to go. Gaining some good weight and still staying lean. Was energized. I think i need to drink more water though.

Strength- Felt great, never did 225x5.

Energy- Could of been a little better, sluggish towards the end.

Sides- Acne still here but doctor gave me new stuff that will make it get worse before better, about 6-8 weeks. So i can only contribute a certain amount to the X-Factor.

Overall- Loving it!!!

Make sure you do LOTS of warmups. I got ALOT stronger on Xfactor than my tendons were ready for and as a result ended my cycle early and it really hurt my lifts for two weeks. GREAT GREAT product, you will enjoy.

And I realized why I never got the pumps I was supposed to, Cissus, in an attempt to battle tendonitis, actually has an antiinflammatory effect I did not read about first go around (imagine that). SO watch anti-inflammatories too if you can.

Thanks, If i can do it my next chest workout then i will know its true. Only doing it once doesnt prove anything. So if i can do 225 for the same reps next week I will be happy.

Yeah, well i belong to 3 gyms so one has 80's, one has 100's (school gym), and one has like 150's. I Forgot about the pictures so i will take some new ones tomorrow after classes. Thanks

It was a great day, decent pump and felt strong, arms are still feeliing full and pumped. Didnt get weight or pictures cause i could find my camera while moving home, but i will get them. Will weigh tomorrow, thanks for following

Shoulders today, not gonna post stats cause im still keeping ti light due to shoulder problems.

Having some weird dream, but that is the only side so far, not gaining as much weight as i hoped but there is still time. I want to be at about 150(more like 155) by the time im done and now im at 145.

NO KIDDIN! haha his lat pulldowns are impressive. I can barely use some of those weights and I got forced into the big weights about 2 years ago... man, you're unreal. Keep it up dude, X factor takes all 50 days to add the weight, don't get impatient bro.

Thank Man, a friend of mine is a trainer and and owns his own finess center and told me i work my shoulders enough doing everything else its wuld be better to take it easy on them on shoulder day.

Day 25 - Off day, back was way to sore.

At the halfway point and feeling good. I dont think i ate enough during the first half because i was at schol most of the time. Now that i am living home again i can eat alot more. Havent weighed in yet but i think that i gained about 5 pounds and didnt gain any bodyfat. Strength is slowly rising and im hoping for better pumps and more of a increase in the strength. Overall i cant complain about anything, been having weird dreams and sweating more in the gym, those are the only sides to report, nothing to bad. Thanks for following, I hope the second half i can up the gains.
