View Full Version : BAM: UNC's road back to MASS!!

I would start off by thanking FNF and ALRI for picking me to test BAM! I will start it tomorrow! I have had a couple of great logs and couple that I had to stop due to injury and personal issues. Everything is now 100% good to go.

I will post my Training/Diet/Supplement for this test.

Goal: To bulk up at least 10lbs and gain my strength back and hopefully break some PR's.

Training: I am changing it up for this test!

Mon: Chest/Triceps
Tuesday: Back/Traps
Wed: Legs
Thursday: Shoulders
Friday: Biceps/Triceps/Forearms

I am hitting triceps 2x I feel they are lacking in size.

Diet:

Breakfast: 6 eggs, 2 packs of grits with cheese. 1 cup of 2% milk and 1 cup of OJ
Mid Morn snack: 1 seving of Weight Gainer
Lunch: Chicken/Rice/Veggies
Mid Afternoon Snack: 1 serving of Weight Gainer
Dinner: Whatever my wife cooks, prob more chicken, potatoes, sala.
Pre-Workout: 2 scoops of Whey Protein
Post-Workout: 2 scoops of Whey and 40-60g of Carbo Gain
Before Bed: Peanut Butter Sandwhich on 2 pieces of Whole Wheat 1 glass of milk

Like I said before I am bulking, I am not worried about putting on fat, so carbs and fats are not a problem, but that doesn't mean I am going to BK everyday but I will not lie I will be going there 1-2 a week.

Supplements:
BAM
NOW Carbo Gain
Vitamins C, E, B-complex
Fish Oil
ZMA

Since I am running it alone I will not be taking any creatine or NO type products unless FNF says its cool. But I will give an honest review and can't wait to get started.

Pics tomorrow, I got to nair the chest first.

This won't be a alluring of a log as Dinoiii's or anymore else but its going to be a good one none the less.

Nice start ! You can use creatine and a NO if you wish :) It will not scew the results.

Best of luck ! But you will not need luck............ you have BAD ASS MASS :D

BigBoy- Sets will be between 4-5, Reps 6-8.

Kyle- All is well, I had some problems arise at work. Everything is cool now. I will be sure to follow ur log.

I actually got the new 'Building the Perfect Beast... Naturally' book by ALR the other day and might do a whole new set of training alongside the BAM.

Thanks guys again for the support, just can't get enough of it. Trans I want that book, I see its back in stock, at a good price so I will have to check it out.

Delayed the start till tomorrow. Waiting on the supplements I ordered which should have been here today, oh well. Also been consumed with buying a new(used car) which is over with now.

I will have my wife take some before pictures tonight. Mind u I have lost alot of weight so don't be to hard on me, but I would like honest feedback on them.

Day1 of BAM Feb. 2, 2007

I had a really weird day today, I wasn't in the best mood at all. My temper was kinda of out of hand. It has nothing to do with the BAM. Thats really my nature. Anyway on to the workout.

Chest:
Incline Smith Press(no spotter today) 4 sets up 235 for 4
DB Bench: 4 sets up 100 for 4
Flat Flyes: 3 sets 50 for 10
Peck Deck machine: 3 sets of 70 for 15 hard contractions

Triceps:
Dips(bw) 4 sets of 5, I was beat!
Rev Grip Smith Bench: 4 sets up 225 for 7
Rope Pushdowns: 3 sets of 100 for 10 reps

I could have got more reps if I had a spotter, my friend didn't go today and there was 3 other people in the gym and they were old. Weights felt good. I haven't train Chest/Triceps together in along time.

I had a good pump going after the flyes. Strength wasn't to bad.

Side Effects: none(to early to tell)

Side not the Ultimate Nutrition weight gainer tastes really good, I got the choc. and I didn't have any kind of bloated feeling.

I didn't take the Vassive Kit today, I will start it tomorrow.

Ok here are some before pictures, they are terrible!! I have veins but u can't see them in these pictures, and the pictures make me look really small. I am truly ashamed for letting my body get like this. The front relaxed picture is the worst! look at the avatar and then these pictures what a shame!

I plan on packing some crazy size. I am taking my cal intake to a whole new level! I need and want thickness, I am lacking it big time. I am going to guess that my cal intake will be around 7000!!!! I will be getting 2200 alone from the weight gainer plus the 5-6 other meals.

The better you do eat with BAM the more growth you will have, the product was designed to pack on mass.

Your pictures are fine, dont be so hard on yourself !!!!!!!! Just say " today is the first day of the rest of my life and Im going to be a BEAST" say that everyday and watch what happens :D

Take er easy UNC, an increase in cal's like that and you know what it'll lead to, I would make jumps up to that point man, don't be intaking a surplus of 2000 cals from the start, jus my 2cents man

Day 2 Feb. 3, 2007

I had a really good workout today.

Back:

Deadlifts: 4 sets up 325 for 4- Not bad, its been awhile since I have done these.
Pulldown Machine- 4 sets up 2 plates and a 25 for 6 reps
Barbell Rows: 4 sets up 195 for 8
Low cable rows- 4 sets up 180 for 8
HyperExt. 4 sets with 25lbs till failure

Traps:
Barbell: 4 sets up 255 for 10 reps
DB Shurgs: 4 sets up 120 for 12 reps
These were supersetted

I can my strength is coming back! Weights are getting close to where they used to be.

Side Effects: None

Vassive Kit tastes great by the way. I really like the Vassive CE! Its got 4g of Di creatine Malate and CEE in it plus other things.

Today is going to be an off-day. I am pretty sore, plus the SuperBowl is on today and I am going to go to my twin brother's house. Still keeping the cals up, its not as hard as I thought it would be. The shakes are great and coming in handy.

I ended up going to the gym last night after the game.

Day 3, Feb. 4, 2007

Legs
Squats: 4 sets up 255lbs for 8 reps
Leg Press: 5 sets up 8 plates on each side for 7 reps
Leg Ext. 4 sets of 130 burnouts

SLDL: 4 sets up to 225 for 8 reps
Calve Raises: 225 to failure for 4 sets.

I wasn't in the mood to workout but I did anyway and I was glad I did.

I will report back later for tonight workout!

Notes: Nice fullness in my chest and arms. veins are looking good! I will weight myself tonight as well. I will also post my stats.

Starting weight 224lbs.

My temper has been bad, still not convinced that its the BAM even though my wife thinks otherwise. Anytime I say I am on something that boosts my test she gets like this, even after the first pill, makes me mad but also makes me laugh.

I didn't get salmonella, but had food poisoining from salsa recently. Lost close to 15 lbs from two weeks of diahrreah. My ass feels like I've been butt raped. :D

Day 4, Feb. 5th, 2007

Ok this stuff is def kicking in, its got to be. I haven't felt this good in the gym since my Halo/OE stack!

Arms:
Bicep Curl: 5 sets up 105 for 9
Incline DB Curl:4 sets up 45 for 10
Cable Preacher: 4 sets up 130 for 9

Triceps:
Standing OverHead Ext: 5 sets up 95 for 9
Rev Grip Bench: 4 sets up 235 for 8
Pushdowns: 4 sets up 190 for 10- supersetted with Preachers

Forearms:
Wrist Roller: 15lbs done 5 sets with it standing on a bench! Hard! haven't done those in forever.

Notes:
Starting Weight 224lbs Now 227lbs
Midsection seems to be shrinking, I will have to measure later.
Muscles are def fuller and harder.
Energy and Strength going up
Alpha Male status is in full effect, I have to make myself leave the gym.

It might be all in my head but I doubt it, cause a month before I started this strength was coming along slowly, now its kicking in full speed.

Freaking A!! Well then if thats the case and I am getting results like this already, I will continue to buy it. Also I noticed u said something in Trans thread about taking it too late. I take mine around 5 in the morn and then again around 6 at night. Tonight I must say I am wide awake!

Day 5, Feb. 6th, 2007

I felt very, very tired all day today. Had to be from lack of sleep last night. I made it through though.

Shoulders:

Clean and Press: 5 sets up to 165 for 5 reps. Haven't done these since high school.
Cable Upright Rows; 5 sets up 160 for 10 reps. This is where my energy kicked in.
Cable Side Raise: 4 sets up 30lbs till failure.
DB front Raises: 4 sets of 30 for 8-10 reps.

I was spent after this. I also including drop sets for the last 2 lifts.

Notes:
Felt very tired all day.
I noticed 2 new veins in my left arm, one in the tricep and one around the elbow.
Pumps are insane!!!!!
Strength was good.
Temper under control

Tomorrow is a day off! Calories are still high, not sure what the carbs are at, but I feel great, no bloat or anything like that. I did notice today that my weight gainer has 0g of fiber, I thought it had some. So now I will be adding 6-9g of fiber with it to go along with veggies and the breakfast cereal that I love(fiber one 14g of fiber).

Off day today. Nothing really to report besides the insane DOMS that I have. But I saw it coming since I am pushing myself so hard. It should be better by tomorrow!

Today I worked out my chest with a friend of mine who put me through a mean ass chest blast.

Chest:
Incline Bench: 6 sets of 3 reps with 10 sec rest between. I used 185lbs..
Flat Bench: same as above with 205 but with 4 reps each.
Decline Bench: same as above with 225. 5 reps each.'
Flat Flies: 2 sets of 40 for 20

I must say I didn't think it was going to be that hard but it was.

I weighed myself just for the hell of it. up another lb. So I am up 5lbs.

Hey UNC some nice weight numbers your putting up there :cool:

You notice any increase in muscle hardness or 'pumps' throughout the day? It seems like to me I stay much more pumped throughout the day on BAM as compared to when I wasn't on BAM... its pretty cool :D

As for ur question TI, 2 words- HELL YEAH! its strange the pumps, hardness, and fullness are better with this product than with anything that I have ever tried! As I type now everything still feels pumps, forearms do and that was a few days ago. I am taking full advantage of this product by comsuming a crazy amount of calories.

Today started bad, I missed 2 meals, and took my first serving at 1:00. First day that this has happened. Had a really busy day!. Its all good though, I have the rest of the day and the weekend to make up for it.

Day 8, Feb. 9, 2007

Its offical this stuff is the SHIT!!!!! Why u may ask? I will explain in a minute. I had a very nice nap today which restored my energy to a all new level. I was going to to back but I wasn't feeling it before I left so I did arms instead. Great choice on my part.

Biceps:
Barbell Curls: 5 sets up 120lbs for 5 reps!! I did 2 sets of that and got 6 and 5 reps with it! That might be a PR! I will have to check.
Spider Curls- 4 sets up to 95 for 10 reps and then 65 for 12
Incline Curls: 3 sets of 50lbs for 8 reps followed by 25lbs for 12

Triceps:
Cable OH Ext.: 5 sets up to 160lbs for 9 reps
Flat Bench Skullcrushers: 4 sets up 110lbs for 10 reps- what? Crazy for me! always felt heavy till tonight
Pushdowns: 3 sets of 200lbs the whole stack: for 12 reps

Notes:
Sick Pumps
Sick strength gains
Endurance is crazy! Rest peroids my have been 30 sec long enough to change the weights
Overall I feel better than ever.

Nothing neg. to report now!

Oh yeah, My diet was terrible today, I got alot of cal. alot of fast food and weight gainers.

Day, 9 I think lol! Feb. 10, 2007

Just got done working out and downing some Vassive CE. I had a hell of a workout! I did some Shoulders and Back.

Rack Deadlifts: 5 sets up 405lbs for 3. Lower back was feeling weak so I didn't go any highers.
Clean and Press: 5 sets up 165 for 5. I did 5X5 with these trying to get used to them again.
Barbell Rows: 4 sets up 205lbs for 8
supersetted
HS Pulldowns: 4 sets of 2 45's on each side for 8 reps. This was a hard superset but damn it was worth it.
Machine Rows: 4 sets of 130lbs(says 13 on the machine) for 10 reps
supersetted
DB Mil. Press: 4 sets of 60lbs for 7 reps
Barbell Shurgs: 5 sets up to 315 for 8 then 135 for 30 reps rest pause.
Behind the back shurgs: 3 sets of 225 for 12

Ok it seems I am in need of some core work! Please someone tell me to rest longer than 30-45 sec between sets of deadlifts.

Side Effects:
Acne is showing up on my right arm and on my back nothing major though.

Note: I weigh 230lbs!! WTF 7lbs? I believe its mostly muscle but I am starting to believe maybe some water in there too, although my veins are still popping like crazy. I do feel a little bloated.

Thanks alot WhiteRabbit! Its really freakyto see what a supplement can do once u take in enough calories. I thought I was doing enough with the Halo/OE stack but I was wrong. Next week I might bump up the cals a little more.

im about to start a superdrol cycle and im hoping to pack on some lean muscle but also cut some fat because i have basketbal leagues over the summer and i need to be as quick and strong as possible. im gonna be intaking between 2500 and 2700 calories a day and drinking around two gallons of water. i hope i dont experience these back pumps that peopple talk about or else basketball practice in the near future will be a no go:(

It may seem that I am lying about this stuff, but really I am not. The BAM has alot to do with it. But so does my diet and the extra cals that I am taking in. I always thought I was taking in enough to grow but I wasn't.

I have always had this extra gear sort to speak when it comes to working out or in sports. I have always been an intense person in the gym, I thrive on killing myself in there but now I have taken to heart the importance of a great diet. Its not perfect by any means. im about to start a superdrol cycle and im hoping to pack on some lean muscle but also cut some fat because i have basketbal leagues over the summer and i need to be as quick and strong as possible. im gonna be intaking between 2500 and 2700 calories a day and drinking around two gallons of water. i hope i dont experience these back pumps that peopple talk about or else basketball practice in the near future will be a no go:(

U'll be fine. Is this ur first cycle? If so keep the doses at 20mgs, that seems to help with the back pumps. Carb up too, I have read where its this is really important.

It may seem that I am lying about this stuff, but really I am not. The BAM has alot to do with it. But so does my diet and the extra cals that I am taking in. I always thought I was taking in enough to grow but I wasn't.

I have always had this extra gear sort to speak when it comes to working out or in sports. I have always been an intense person in the gym, I thrive on killing myself in there but now I have taken to heart the importance of a great diet. Its not perfect by any means. Ditto on a hard workout. I enjoy breaking a good sweat and focusing on what I am doing in the gym. I have always preferred products that have the least amount of sides and toxicity, as well as alleviating HPTA shutdown. This BAM product sounds like a winner when combined with hard workouts and decent nutrient intake. :)

Yes!! IE barbell curl: went from 105lbs to 120lbs in a week.

No, thats the best thing about it. FNF the ALRI rep said to use restore just incase of a little bit of estrogen rebound, but from what I have read no one has had a problem with that. Even the guys that are stacking JW with it.

I feel very swole right now:D I did my chest and forearms. My chest workout was not that impressive. I was having some issues with my left shoulder. It felt like a pinch and it was somewhat numbing. But anyways enough bitching.

Chest:
DB Bench: 4 sets up 100lbs for 5 reps:x
Incline Smith: 4 sets up 185 for 8- shoulder started to act up here.
supersetted
Flat Flyes: 4 sets up 50 for 10
Naut. decline machine: 4 sets up to 150 for 10
supersetted
Peck Deck: 4 sets up to 100 for 10

Forearms:
Hammer Curls: 4 sets up to 70lbs:eek: for 8 reps
Wrist Rollers: 4 sets of 20lbs
supersetted
Wrist Curls: 4 sets of 85lbs till failure

I believe my shoulder issues stems from way back when I was lifting to heavy to soon on DB shoulder Presses. The pain comes when I widen my grip on bench presses to take some of the load off of the triceps. When I close the grip some it helped. 70lb hammers was nice, not a PR but getting there. U are prob thinking I bet his form sucks. Actually it doesn't towards the end of the set I get a little sloppy on the way up but fight it on the way down.

Days 12 and 13 were off days.

Day 14, Feb. 15th, 2007

Today I worked out my back. Been having a little pain in my lower back, I hope I haven't strained it a little, but it hasn't hendered my workouts.

Back:
Rack Deadlifts: 5 sets up 405lbs for 3 reps, I need to get some more chalk!
Barbell Rows: 4 sets up 225lbs for 8 reps then 135 for 12 strict reps
HS pulldowns: 4 sets with 2 45's and 25lbs for 11 reps
Low Cable Rows: 3 sets of 200lbs for 10 reps
HyerExt. 3 sets till failure
Barbell shurgs: 4 sets up 335lbs for 9 reps
supersetted
Seated DB Shurgs: 4 sets of 120lbs for 12reps

Great workout today. I also did some core work too.

Notes:
Acne trying to flare up but not to bad
Sleeping great
No Temper, but nice aggression in the gym
Overall great feeling of well being

Sorry for the delay on the log, our internet has been down. I will start logging the workouts tomorrow. I was going to do some high/low stuff but after thinking it over I am going back to DC training. I have been hitting it real hard since I started the BAM and strength has increased but I feel like I might be overdoing it. So I will focus on DC training and hitting each bodypart really hard with one lift as opposed to many different ones.

Notes:
Strength still going up but kinda of leveling off.
Same with the weight gain.
Sleeping great
No neg sides to report

Diet has been off a little but when to the store to stock up on healthy foods. I have been hitting the Dr.Peppers a little hard the last 2 days and it showed during tonights workout.

I will report back tomorrow with my first day back with DC training.

Libido - Its increased some, but I must say orgasms have been stronger!:D

Mood- Overall my mood has been great. I have noticed if I take BAM late at night I wake in a really bad mood. Besides that I feel great.

Energy- I have had some days where I felt really beat down, but that was early on, now I feel energitic, I feel like I did when I was in High School.

Strength - Strength has increased almost back to where I was. But I am happy about where I am now.

Recovery - Recovery has been great, I have always been able to recover fast. But I feel as if I could lift all day every day. Rest Peroids before DC were around 20-30 secs if that, long enough to change the weights around.

Honestly not sure. I would say by looking in the mirror, most of it is LBM. I will take measurements later. I know I look leaner and fuller. Stomach looks a little bit smaller.

I really like reading up on restore, it looks so good. Well man, as a tip, I'm pretty sure all GNC's have one of those electro body fat testers, if you don't have one. I know a lot of people tell me thats where they check their bf %'s. I think its easier to just buy one lol. (it isnt totally accurate but its a good way of guaging changes.)

Todays workout was pretty bad. It started off great but then fizzled out.

My legs were beat for some reason. Leg Presses were down today but I will bounce back next week after a full weekend to recover.

Man today's workout was brutal. I pushed myself really hard today. Here we is todays numbers.

Chest: DB Flat Bench: 105lbs- (15)

Strength is through the roof
Recovery is crazy
Endurance- I don't get tired
Libido- Its been great
Had some bad DOMS in my legs over the weekend but its cleared up
Slight acne on the shoulders, a couple I seen popping up on my arms

I am in love with this product!! My fav non-PH product to date.

Dang what a ride, I am truly impressed with this product. I am up 237lbs! i know what u guys are thinking, it can't be all LBM, and I agree but at this point the way I look and feel and the strength gains I have I don't care. I will gladly sacrifice putting on a little BF with all of these gains. I am still pretty lean for my size:cool:

Biceps: Seated DB Curls: 60lbs (16) PR!
Forearms; Hammer Curls: 70lbs (18)
Calves: Standing Calf Raise: 355lbs (21)
Hamstrings: SLDL: 315lbs (6) 325(4) PR's!
Quads: Front Squat: 235lbs (8) 285 (6) 135 (20)

I didn't really change any lifts this time around cause I wanted to see what I could with them. I was crazy pumped for this workout and it showed.

Notes:
Agression raged at a whole new level in the gym
Acne trying to flare up a little on the arms and shoulders
Libido still good
Endurance is great
Strength well what can I say:eek: For all of the problems that I have had after my Clout log, this is great.

Chest- Flat DB Press- going to hit the 110's tonight, BW Dips, Incline Flyes

Last day guys. Today had to be prob one the best workouts I have ever had in my life. I didn't get any pictures of the gym action(wife is sick) and I will post after pictures tomorrow. I really didn't keep up with sets today was kinda like let's see what the hell I can do in the gym with my fav lifts. Mostly for chest and biceps.

Chest: Flat DB bench: 5 sets up 110lbs for 5 reps (PR!)
Biceps: DB Curls: 5 sets up 60 for 7 reps

Chest: Incline Smith Press: 4 sets up 225lbs for 4 reps:(
Bi/Forearms: Hammer Curls: 4 sets up 75lbs for 8 reps (PR!)

This is where the workout got good!
Dips: 4 sets to failure crazy pump!
Incline Flye: 4sets up 55lbs for 10 reps I got some of the best stretches ever
Incline DB Curls: 4 sets up 45lbs for 12 strict reps

Barbell shurgs: 4 sets up 405lbs for 8 reps

Just for the hell I throw another plate on each side for a total of 495 plus another 25 on each side for 545lbs for 2 reps (PR!)

Overall summary
Weight gain +11 I went 224 to 235
Strength was crazy the last week it kicked in full gear
Acne blew up the last few days, besides that it was non-existent
Libido is still in full gear
Endurance has improved alot.

No neg side effects to report.

IMO I have to rate this product a 10/10 just based on what I was at from the get go to now.

Thank you FNF and ALRI for letting me try out this wonderful product and I have been telling everyone that I know that they need to try it at least once.
