Good luck!

How old are you? Do you have any family members with arthritis? How much protein are you taking per day with it?

italionstallionl
April 10th, 2005, 11:21 AM
ill give the stats tomorrow once i start the log

i do have family members with arthritis, and i think i already do have it in my knees. my doctor said it will be pretty bad when i get older, right now i cant squat without weight without a ton of pain.

i got the x factor on saturday, lifted back and shoulders saturday night and took 4 x factors that day. 2 in the afternoon, 2 at night. sunday i didnt lift but took 5. today i woke up much more sore in my neck than i typically would. i dont think this could be placebo. i know its not suppose to work this fast, but my neck has never been this sore. i am running a new split starting today, it is:

shoulders/bis
legs
off
back/tris
off
chest/abs/light arms

i will be doing my log ala wedgy

shoulders and traps

all lifts done with 2 sec positives, 3 sec negatives

shoulders really suffered today because i lifted them on saturday night and they were still really sore

db shrugs
60 x 10 x 10 x 10

cable lat raises
25 x 10 x 10 x 8

behind the neck press
60 x 10 x 8 x 8

all of these were so killer, especially lifting really slowly, my neck was dieing

tris

cgbp
115 x 12
135 x 7 x 6
115 x 7

reverse grip flat bar push down
100 x 12
120 x 10 x 7

db extension
50 x 10 x 9 x 9

rope push downs
100 x 6
80 x 6
60 x 6

dips
x 10 x 10 x 9

going to add that:

i take 2 when i wake up
2 an hour before i lift
1 at night before bed

my pre work out nutrition is
wpi/wpc about an hour before i lift in a couple oz of milk and about 6 of water

post workout
2 scoops-50 g of wpi with 20 g of malto/dex mixture with about 35 g of cereal
(i recently started doing this to see if the mixture of medium and high gi would be any different than all high)

this morning i dont notice any extra soreness in my tris, but my upper back and shoulders are still really sore.

italionstallionl
April 12th, 2005, 06:25 PM
i just realized i made a slight mistake. i wasnt even thinking about it when i was in the gym yesterday, it was my first day on the new split and my plan was to do shoulders/bis, but i did shoulders/tris. no big deal, just gonna slightly change my split this week. next week, its going to be what i planned.

legs

angled calf raises
160 x 20
205 x 10 x 10 x 10

leg curl
112.5 x 15
125 x 15 x 15

leg extensions
112.5 x 20
125 x 15 x 15

seated calf raise (dont really know what this is called, but legs are at a 90* angle with pads on thighs)
110 x 15 x 13 x 11

leg press
204 x 20
221 x 20 x 20

bike 20 min--7.05 miles
then 1 minute cool down

if you are wondering why i go high rep, it is because i have horrible knees, and too much weight hurts incredibly bad. i go as high of weight as possible with no pain.

nothing to report on from x factor, no increased feeling of soreness, or pump at the gym

italionstallionl
April 13th, 2005, 11:32 PM
off day today, im so glad i switched my split around because it just so happened my off day fell on the day before i have 2 exams. that means i didnt have to take a lifting day off today in order to study.

on a side note, i have increased my nootropic stack and it is amazing

now i have
biotest spike
rhodolia rosea
alcar
dl phenylaline
phenibut
taurine
ginkgo biloba

dont worry, i dont take them all at the same time, or even in the same day

all in all i had a crappy work out tonight
all my lifts were down reps and weight. i was very disappointed. i think i have to contribute it to the fact that i partied both nights this weekend. i dont do it often, but this weekend was the little 500 (a bike race) and my school went nuts.

trans-so far i have had 0 sides. no increased acne (i am the type of person that would notice too, i basically always have 1 pimple, sometimes none, sometimes 2-3. so if it increased it would be pretty obvious. no acne on my back, shoulders, or arms) i kind of dount that this is the x factor, but it very well could be; i have been able to get to sleep earlier. usually i wouldnt be able to go to sleep til pretty late, but lately i have been able to go to sleep by midnight, maybe a little sooner.

so far after a few weeks upper body composition for the most part has not changed a whole lot.

my legs are a different story. they are becoming very well defined, but as you can all imagine they are not very big due to the fact that i do extremely high number of reps per set. calves are getting pretty good and shredded and quads are becoming more defined than ever before in my life.

I got a few questions, exactly how long did it take for you to notice the increase in soreness? Like was it a gradual increase or just a all the sudden super-soreness?
And how long does this soreness last? Extra long or just like usual soreness?
And do you noticed increased hunger while on x factor?

italionstallionl
May 13th, 2005, 01:50 AM
i noticed the increased soreness after about a week of use
it is just that when i would wake up the 2 day after working out i would be pretty sore, not to the point where it was painful, but i would notice it with any movement of that muscle
i stayed sore for probably 3 days
no increased hunger for me

it usually takes between 2-3 weeks when you are in the loading phase. I comes on pretty quick, its not like over night but you start to notice pretty quickly once your body has been loaded, keep in mind some people it has worked in less then a week to load.

The soreness is def more intense but it is a good sore and not a pain by about the mid to end of second bottle that will suside for you.

Some people have reported that there appetite has gone up. I personally had to increase my calories by 1000 just to keep the weight on and size growth. I had no trouble adding that amount and did so right away so kinda in away it did, but the key is to keep calories up

Hey, stallion. I just want to say that this is a great log. I just joined this forum and I didn't know you posted over here. I saw earlier that you mentioned you had some knee problems and so do I. I really want to give X-Factor a try during my next cut, but one of the things that turned me off to it was the increased soreness(I'm not sure how my knees will handle it.) I was just wondering how you're knees are doing throughout the whole X-Factor trial.

I just wanted to add, and not take away from your thread Italion that i have had 2 knee surgerys 1 for torn acl and other for a petela tendon tear, I had now problem with my knees at all while i was on x-factor. Your are right that it is an inflammatory but just go slow and see how it feels

dmw, my knees have been a little sore recently. I don't think its because of the Xfactor, just because of the absence of EFAs and MSM

dwm230000
May 20th, 2005, 11:59 PM
Thanks for the help, Wedgylx. That's one of the things I'm worried about. Along with the having to stop EFA supplementation, I would have to stop taking the Glucosamine/Chondroitin/MSM supp I take twice daily which has improved my everyday soreness dramatically. I'm worried that the added soreness from AA along with the absence of my everyday supps would be too much.

All i have been doing is pushing carts for 4-5 hours straight, with no break, then i get a 15 min break, then i push carts until my 6 hour shift is up. it is a killer whole body workout, and when im done i dont want to move. im gonna look for a new job and keep this one on weekends because i get time and a half on sundays (15 an hour)

on a side note, i might get a job at a golf course cutting grass or something, so that should allow me to get back into lifting. these carts are really killing me, not only no lifting, but i am too tired to even go out at night and hang out with my buddies

FINAL REVIEW:

weight: 178
Right arm: 15
Left arms: 14.75
Chest: 41
Waist: 33

Completely honest review
I went into this product expecting a lot after reading max's experience. I was very happy with my cycle, but i was expecting more than what i got, so i guess you could say i am slightly disappointed. i never noticed a drop of weight like max did, nor an abnormally large amount of leaning out around the mid section. I didnt realize my arms grew, they still look the same to me, maybe slightly larger, but when things progress slowly you are more likely to not notice the change. What im saying is, if someone saw my arms when i started, then not again until now, i bet it would be easier to tell. My strength increased nicely, and in all honesty, i felt my final week of x factor i was starting to get the best results. unfortunately during that week i was not able to work out much do to work, but what can you do. if i were to compare this to creatine, i would say, this has the ability to reduce bf-which i did by increasing arms significantly and not gain weight. My entire body is more "cut" and muscles are more defined, this change in appearance does not happen with creatine for me. my upper 4 abs are more visible, event though my waist is the same, i feel my appearance is a slimmer waist line. where as creatine does not reduce bf. strength in comparison to creatine-i would say they are similar, a slight edge would go to the x factor. Right now my elbows, shoulders, and knees are hurting, i dont know if it has to do with x factor-i dont think it does, i attribute it to my job because this just started to occur and i have been off x factor a few days, and my job is pretty strenuous. Finally, if it was me to purchase something again, i would buy creatine because the results i got do not compare to the 120 dollars one would have to spend to run a cycle. if the price was cheaper, i would use the x factor. if someone had money to spend, i would recommend the x factor. if they are too young for ph's and not responding to creatine i would definitely recommend x factor. i am happy with my results, especially my arm increase, and i thanks bill again for letting me try this out and wish him the best of luck, if the supp community has the dough to lay down, they will not be disappointed.

i think that covers everything, if anyone wants to know anything or has any questions let me know
