Hi everyone, new to the site but long time lifter. Has anyone taken Thermolife's Ecdysten before? I just got it but haven't started taking it yet. What can I expect out of this? Any known side effects? I'm planning on taking it with NOZ supercharged and N Large 2 weight gainer. Thanks!

Check out dermasize by Legal gear. It has ecdy in a transdermal along with a few other useful compounds.

Let me explain our response. Dermasize has ecdysterone, but it is a transdermal lotion form so it bypasses the liver, which there is some debate over how well an oral capsule form can do. A few other nice things in this transdermal also.

We did answer your question, sorry if we were not clear. Transdermal form may be more effective and better aborbed than a capsule with regard to clearing the liver.

Got it?

There has been a thought by a non-ecdysterone producing company that the supplement is "worthless" because the human body does not possess an ecdysterone receptor (as it is essentially a "bug homrone").

While I agree that the receptor is NON-existent in the human body, the fact remains that the supplement has shown some interesting lab values provided you can get enough beyond first pass (essentially agreeing with ghost's point). Most notably, there is great effect on blood lipid profiles which you can easily test for yourself. Hell, many pharmaceutics do not possess a receptor but denial of their effect on the human body is ludicrous and a company crying wolf in my opinion b/c of their lack of having a similar product (and this is a company I have supported quite heavily too so it has NOTHING to do with vested interest guys).

One thing to note is the fact that orally you need quite a bit of the substance (in the GRAM dosing tally) as opposed to minute mg patterns that many supplement companies offer - you may find the supplement not worth it at that point. I am not familiar with the product you mention, however, Syntrax had a pretty decent compound in their original Syntrabol formula PO (admittedly I have not tried Syntra EC), while I have spoken ad nauseum about the superiority of Legal Gear's Dermasize. For now, I would attempt to stear you toward either of those two options.

Hope this helps.

OK, Great. Thanks guys. I started taking Ecdysten today along with Prolab's N-large 2 and VPX;s CEX. I'll let you know how everything pans out.
