We have a set of scales at our gym that measure bodyfat percentage, but the instructions state that it may have an error rate of 3-4%. I've used a pair of fat calipers to check the bodyfat percentage of some of the guys who've worked out at our gym. I always take multiple readings at all the key body areas & average them out. I think this method is more accurate. But I've heard that the best way is to be lowered into one of those medical water tanks for the most accurate readings. This method is more costly & should probably be reserved for professional athletes & those who aren't concerned with the cost. You'd have to go to a medical or sports medicine facility to get the test done, probably. I have heard of some commercial tanks being made available for sale, too. As for me, all I have to do to measure my bodyfat percentage is look in the mirror when I'm naked. So far, all my readings have been too high. Ha!
