This is probably weird. I've read an article on a body building site about doing cardio. I was surprised when I saw this:
if you do excercises slowly (4/10-1-3/4 secs), correct movements with very short breakes between sets (0.5-1 min) and if you keep on checkin' breathing, no need for cardio, which mess up your knees and your legs. It also sais that the heart and the lungs work enough if you follow a plan like this...
Any opinions?

i think this is generally true, but is too broad. many people react to things differently, so cardio might work extremely well for some and not so well for others

Keep 'em seperated!
I seperate cardio days from resistance training days.

That is retarded. Trust me cardio is extremley important, but more important is how you do it. Look at a LSD runner ( Somewhat slender, no muscular development, and usually do not have low bodyfat. Now look at a Sprinter ( They have tree trunks for legs and are ripped to shreds). So pick the one you want to look like and do that. Haha just kidding obviously you want to look like the sprinter. Here is how I lost 50 pounds in a very short time. Before you do anything (Well brush your teeth) and then go on the treadmill or outside and just start jogging very little for about five minutes. That was nice wasn't it just a very brisk job in the morning feels good. Well now prepare for five minutes of hell. Spriint as fast as you can (Distance and time depend on your overall fitness level) Then walk (or jog if you can) little for about double to triple the time you were sprinting. Do that six times and work your way up to ten about 3 times a week (five if you want to lose fat in a hurry.) Then go eat breakfast. This works I trust me and it only takes about 10-15 minutes. Do not worry about muscle loss you will gain muscle doing this. Follow all the other dieting rules and you are set.

I think that if youre going for the slim slender look then yes cardio is good. Pre-contest yes also important. For bulking NO NO NO!!! I think cardio will take you a step back. Also I do cardio just once a week because I have to. Being in the military we have to run a few miles on thursdays. Those days I train legs. But cardio IS/ISNT important depending on what your goals are. I only do cardio once a week and I am shedding off body fat like crazy. The rest is resistance training...solid resistance training.
