Not necessarily a strongman competition but does anyone participate in or know about arm wrestling competitions? I remember seeing some on tv a while back but would really like to see some on tv again. anyone know about this sport and its tv presence?

So as you may know, the colorado pro show was this weekend and one of the things included was armwrestling. I got to see all the greats including my favorite, Ron Bath. Micheal todd was there, everyone Ive seen on tv. It was awesome.

Very intense sport and much more strategy and technique than most people understand. Years ago I used to compete in some local competitions in Minnesota but the toll it takes on your arm and the pain that must be endured is rediculous. Most pros spend more time with their arm wrapped in ice than they spend working out I believe.

That wouldnt surprise me. Watching the matches yesterday, I saw almost everyone sort of "roll" thier elbow to get whatever creaks and knots out of it. Not necessarily worth it as far as risk of injury is concerned, at least with my goals in life.

Micheal todd lives in my town and workouts out at the local gym, my friend is his trainee and hes an am bodybuilder (5'8, 215 at 9% bf). Michael Todd is incredibly strong!
His bench is weird because of his elbow, so one side is always lower than the other...

Dont personally see the point if you're not winning tons of cash. NOt worth it to me either.
