I was wondering what the OLDER guys (those of us with bad backs especially) thought about using back support belts while lifting. My thought HAD always been that the belts stopped the supporting back muscles from being worked out as the belt was doing the work instead of the back muscles. But when the rest of your body parts can handle more weight than your back can, I might need to buckle up.
I have to admit neglecting my deadlifts a bit, before my back started acting up last week.
:?:
I will also consult my chiropractor on the next visit.
