Hey guys havent been on in a while, but I have a pretty serious question. My mother is going through menopause and is considering taking some estrogen supplements. I am concerned with her taking estrogen replacement drugs and I need some information on natural estrogen boosters. She trusts me when it comes to this kind of thing, but I dont really know alot about it. I have alot of info on natural test boosting, but anyways. I would really appreciate any help given. Thanks again.

Just what I read, I have no knowledge of this info. I just did some research via Google to see if I could dig something up.

Synthetic Estrogen - Birth Control, Estradiol Supplementation

Estrogen Boosters: PABA, Boron, Acidolphilus, Bee Propolis

Estrogen Mimickers: Phytoestrogens (soy, other herbs & most plants - low estrogen activity) , Boron, Folic Acid,

Make sure she gets a high-quality Calcium supp.

Good luck man!

While I am not certain this is the appropriate place for this thread, I welcome you back (if you are back more long-term).

Pro-estrogenic programs are interesting...most on this board are not likely going to find this information pertinent. I have roughly 500 clients who now fit the menopausal designation and my prescribed complimentary and alternative treatment regime is as follows (usually offers symptomatic relief in about 92% - so rather successful):

Dinoiii's Peri-Menopausal Program

Product #1:
Black Cohosh
20 mg tablet twice per day...when she employs this, tell her to give it a fair 4-12 week trial to mimic study results. If you can, get the reistered Remifemin brand.

Product #2:
Dong Quai
Solely for the Chinese medicine enthusiasts. There is only one real quality study here that didn't really show statistically significant results. It was argued by Chinese medicine enthusiasts that this PROVED nothing, since dong quai is not expected to have benefit when used alone for this purpose. However, studying combo agents is difficult - some of my clients swear by it though - but it is purely anectdotal and I am going to acknowledge it because of this fact and the Chinese med gods. However, she will have to experiment with dosing parameters if she decides to employ its usage.

Product #3:
Soy Protein Isolate
See guys - this is why I ALWAYS TELL YOU TO AVoID this product. For pro-estrogenic proponents, however, 60grams per day to supplement whole food meals. hot flashes were reduced by 45% in women consuming 60g of soy protein isolate daily. Difference between soy and placebo groups were significant.

Product #4:
Indole-3-Carbinol
400mg two times per day. I know, I know - remember this is an estrogen metabolism modulator, not a pro-estrogenic...so not to worry boys, you taking it is a good thing too (kinda like a universal supp IMO). You can revisit the PCT:ACV articles to see how this shunts the various pathways - namely PCT:ACV Part II

Hey there JrBirdMan

I'm sorry, I am unclear as to whether you are asking me which brands of each respective product I like for my clients?
