damn bro, jus checked up on this stuff, I'd be careful, an thnx UNC for gettin my head on straight, I did have the light sensitivity thing partially right, anyways, I found a melatonin article with these lovely sides:
Some people may experience vivid dreams or nightmares when they take melatonin. Overuse or incorrect use of melatonin could disrupt circadian rhythms. Melatonin can cause drowsiness if taken during the day. Individuals experiencing morning drowsiness after taking melatonin at night should take less of the supplement. Additional side effects that have been reported from melatonin include stomach cramps, dizziness, headache, irritability, decreased libido, breast enlargement in men (called gynecomastia), and decreased sperm count.

If you have an existing cardiovascular disorder, you may see a worsening of the symptoms through the use of Melatonin. Taken in high doses, I've heard there is a risk of hepatoxicity....but that hasn't stopped most people from using things like Sdrol...
Also I read a thread on Anabolic Minds stating that a person shouldn't use any MAOI's because it will increase the absorbtion of melatonin.
Recommended dose is usually 10mg. I've gone as high as 20mg before.
I would only use it when needed, as I've heard it can be habit-forming

Don't throw it away. I'd keep it around for the random nights you can't sleep

I really wouldn't be too worried, as long as you don't abuse it. Also I wouldnt use this EVERY night, if you need help falling asleep every night, there are better RX options
