Ask a professional pitching coach. Throwing tweaks your arm ligaments, and weight lifters generally avoid ligments by using a 90% rule. That is: only using 90% of the range of motion to protect the ligaments.

I would say training with chains teaches the explosive neurological response you need to explode the ball, but I am not sure how to apply that training method to throwing a baseball.

Supplement wise I would say get a good MSM glucosamine transdermal cream and some capsules (not tablets) as well.

i would say try doing lifts that target basically the entire upper body, but mainly the shoulder, then chest, then back. arms seem to be secondary.

this is just my opinion, some other people may have other feelings

long distance throwing helped me when I used to catch. Also work on your footwork. The transition from catching the ball to pivoting your feet to get yourself in the position to throw. Ask your trainer, he can give you some specific exercises, similar to the ones you see pitchers performing with light weights.
