Blood pressure reducing agents have two faults. One - they usually suffer from a short duration of action and/or Two - they need to be taken for a significant period of time to see benefits. That being said, hawthorn is usually a better agent for Heart Failure (in fact, its only true Comission E indication - see short topic series III in Open Articles section for more). However, when used for a time period of 4-6 weeks at a pretty generous dose, blood pressure reductions tend to become evident. I would remind you to be careful of potential interactions of too many agents used at once and would further tell you to employ these agents in a slower fashion to judge how readily your blood pressure drops.
Hawthorn is very cheap on here and can be found at the following site for the amount of money a fast-food meal would cost, except here you benefit with something greater: likelihood of prolonged good health and perhaps secondary extension of life:

Sorry to not have seen this earlier - having a little too much fun with the celebrity look alikes thread in off topics....
How has your blood pressure been running? A generous dose would likely include about 2 caps, 3 times per day, given standardizations.
If this should fail in complete control - I mean, after all it is primarily going to act on the heart itself, not necessarily the blood vessels....another cheap addition would be magnesium --> no I don't mean ZMA (which is a good supp), but additional magnesium as zinc in the trace domain has overdose potential as well. Be careful to titrate magnesium dosing up however, as certain forms of the compound can have laxative effects.
A subset of even cheaper additions include avoidance of salt and bumping up your potassium intake,...there is a natural ratio of sodium to potassium that need be maintained (some of the research types call it the "K factor").

Well, I understand too how much quality answers are truly deficient these days and try and give it my all provided I can. When I started in this whole thing what is now about 15 years ago, I wanted answers quick too and had no one to help - Jesus was that frustrating.
I have essentially given up my life to help others whether it be medicine or in body composition goals or the like really because I have found empathy in such desires stemming from my own. I could imagine doing nothing else really. If you find even a fraction of what I say helpful then I can say I have done my part and put back into this that that I was searching for so long ago.
The reward again as I have said in the past is likely as altruistic as you are EVER going to find in this industry - I truly mean it. For those on here that know me (Semper Fidelis, Mezzogal, etc...) you have seen it first hand...for the rest, well - if it has come off even remotely that way in my posts, understand that it really is the way I live, breathe, eat, and sleep. I could not imagine a better and/or more rewarding existence.

Well, I thank you for the props.
Knowledge is a good thing. I had the same view and thirst I think about 15 years ago. I was about 150 pounds heavier than my current state (and over 200 heavier than my overall low). Oh yeah, again - without many of the quoted needed exogenous items (namely for those who opt to never compete, et al., but even won a comp back in 2000 at about 25 or 30 pounds heavier than my current and a bit more cut - ahhh, then medical school challenged much of it all, ya know?).
