Last night during my 1st set of decline one my first negative, i felt a sharp pain in my shoulder. I stopped my workout right then becuase the pain was pretty bad. This morning I woke up and my shoulder was killing me. I only have about 50% range in motion in my right shoulder today. My question is has anyone experienced this before? Should I be worried? If anyone has any advice on this help me out, I have to have this shoulder for some testing for a police dept. by next Friday. Again, thanks for any advice.

I'm assuming you were stretched, hydrated properly, & not overlifting. Does this feel like a muscle injury, or is it deeper like down in the joint? Range of motion problems make it sound like it's in the joint. Honestly, you should go to a doctor, a sport's injury or orthopedic specialist would be even better. If you were on a decline, you could have something as small as a pinched nerve, or you could have done slight connective tissue damage. One thing that almost all athlete's overlook in their training is the health, integrity, & strength, of the joints & connective tissues, I know I used to, until I hurt myself enough to take notice.

I've had some serious shoulder injuries. One in particular was misdiagnosed & cost me my senior year of college baseball. I went 4 years with a nagging injury, all b/c I hadn't thought it was "that" serious. Ended up having major surgery & 8 mos. of rehab.

Hate to hear you hurt yourself man. It's always better to get stuff checked out than develop chronic problems from neglect. Connective Tissue damage that goes unchecked will heal with excessive scar tissue that can slightly change the proper mechanics of the shoulder joint. It's really impossible for anyone to guess what's happened. [/code]
