Competition tanning products

hey bigpete or njmuscle, which of the da.com tanning products should i use, theres a jan tana line and pro tan, plz tell me which items i should get to get a deep tan for my competition

have you tanned any in a bed? it makes a diff fo rme...if im not tan il add jan tana to get a stain base. then use dream tan right before the show for a bronzer. pro tan is just another stainer like jan i believe. i like pro tan better, it looks more natural.. but deff u need dream tan...even black people use it

you need a base first so a tanning bed is important. I have used a combination of protan and jan tana and protan alone and i prefer just the protan. Seems more natural runs less, gets into the skin better, etc-Just a bitch to get off

I do 2 coats on wed light shower for the excess in and out THATS IT, thurs, friday and touch up saturday morning. No showering after Wed

Dream Tan is popular but I dont like it because it never gets in the skin. Just sits on top so prone to running, smearing, etc. I have also heard that some shows in the NPC ban it

My preference is numerous coats of protan

and do i need any other tanning products, like tanning lotions when i use the bed? which works best for that?

Luckily I tan easy, so 4 visits to Tan-O-Rama and I'm damn near Wesley Snipes level of color.. :D

The day of the show I use Jan Tana competition bronzer, once dry I smooth on a coat of Jan Tana posing oil, blot and ready.. After prejudging if needed, I keep a can of Pam to touch up my shine.. I like when at a show you'll see 40 cans of Pam like it's a bake-off, until you get to the fool who got butter flavor or garlic flavor and blames his girlfriend/coach/whoever's helping him.. :D

I see you like to plan ahead that is a good thing. When is the show by the way.............You need a base from a taning bed first. Also of course you have to shave. The Gillete Fusion is an awesome razor. Not cheap but worth it. Ok the first thing you need is to exfoliate to get rid of any dead skin. I used protan's get buff. I am sure you can get something at CVS but the protan product is inexepnsive so I didnt sweat it. I start applying Protan Competition Color the wednesday before the show. After the first coat I shower breifly. Litterally run the water and step in and out. YOu are just trying to get the access offI would order three of the 2 of the larger ones. You dont want to be short at the end. I use to do bronzers and all sortss of stuff but I just went with straight protan (6 coats) and felt my color was good, didnt run, etc

I alway stop tanning in a bed a few days prior since you might retain water

Protan has posing oil but I stick to pam,

I also like their Hotstuff-a vasodilator and I would suggest Bikini Bite...........Acts as a stickum and keeps the trunks up high on the hios to show leg cuts better-Good luck B

I thought the tanning beds dried you out, and the tanning is easy for me, as I am a trainer, and can tan nearly for free at my gym. do you use any tanning lotions while using the bed

and yes i am a planner, if I am gonna do this, failure is not an option, everything must be in order prior, or the entire program will feel like I always could have done more.

Or should I get the 1-2 bottles of pro tan competition color and a bottle of one coat by pro tan, along with the get buff
