Phil Pfister wins 2006 WSM!

Finally after 30+ yrs (or something like that) an American wins WSM. And a professed drug-free athlete as well. Any of you who follow strongman will know most accept Savickas as the strongest man but he did not compete in this event and the Arnold is where the strongest play. WSM is more athletic, but still... Pfister showed up and beat out Mariusz Pudzianowki for the title.

I remember watching it about 4 years or so ago, he was competing in the Hercules Hold. Just eclipsed the best time and while he was still holding it shouts out(something like this) "I will be the world's strongest man. I will bring the title home to America. Maybe not this year but I will be world's strongest man."

Marius has a helluva good physique though. I would rather look good and be strong than just be outrageously strong.

I saw this one too. Its awesome that he finally won. He deserved it.

I had no idea he was drug free. No juice at all? thats nuts, but awesome.

He proclaims he is drug-free, never tested so....everyone will have doubts at that level. Drugs or not- still impressive. He seems like a good down to earth guy so I am glad he got one.
