my roomate thinks he knows about lifting and supps and is always telling me about creatine. i just nod my head and go alnog with him. for instance he was telling me he gained 15 lbs after using creatine fuel or what ever twinlabs product is. he then lost it all within a week after going off it because it was all water. but according to him he really "blew up"

anyway the funny thing he asked me was, "so, how much protein do you think you have a day"

me "in grams"

Steve (roomate) "yeah, i guess"

me "let me think for a sec"

steve "would you say something like 40-50 grams"

me, "haha, yeah, i do more than that after i work out, haha"

steve "really"

me "oh you were serious?!?"

See this is the problem.. There are so many uneducated people on supplements and they are the ones who say something happened give bad advice that causes bad things to happen.

Just slap him around until he listens to you.. LOL j/k

lol he tells me all the time that I'm going to die one day. He has no clue about anything. He bought a tub of protein in september and it sat under his bed until december unopened. I askedhim why, he said that he talked to his sister and she said people die from protein overdoses all the time. PROTEIN OVERDOSES! Now naturally, some people suffer kidney problems from enormous amounts of protein but not from having a 30g shake!

I got friends who think creatine stunts growth and leads to kidney stones, One of my friends saw my tub of protein and said "why dont you just eat lots of pasta?"
lol...

omg i have high cholesterol and it runs in the family big time and i used to go to this dr in town. id get the blood tests regularly and id see the dr after to get the results. he was always telling me to eat good and at the time i thought i was (this was 5 or 6 years ago and i was eating ok but id eat a lot of potatoes white bread etc.) and work out. and i was eating pretty good and working out almost every day and i was always telling him this. well i guess one day he was getting fed up with my obvious bs and asked me if i was smoking pot and then pigging out. (i have long hair and tattoos). i was thinking wtf. i said no i told you i dont smoke weed anymore, it makes me anxious. and im honest about what i eat and how often i work out. he looked at me with the lab results in his hands like i was a school kid that just told his teacher that i wanted to do my homework but my mom told me i couldnt or something crazy like that. he looked at me as if to say, you can bs all you want i have the proof right here in my hands. hahahahahahahahahhahahaha.

I worked at GNC for over 4 years and it never amazed me when a "newbie" came in to the store. It always started me clarifing with the kid that all the "bottles locked in the glass shelf" wasn't steroids but supps.

Anyway remember cybergenics? We had soooooo many people come in and think this was some kind of "illegal" product.
