View Full Version : DS Glucophase XR during a "bulk" opinions.

OK for lack of a better term I will say "bulk" ie meaning not with a strict diet. Many have used this with success during a "cut" but how about just to help regulate insulin when you are eating large amounts of calories? It seems it should be just as effective with this usage as well. When you try to bulk, you eat more and more most likely turns into fat. I assume this will help.
Any opinions/experience?

Aside from my sig, I've used Glucophase for quite some time.. The best way to take it is 2 caps with high-carb meals.. As long as you keep the carbs complex and clean, fat gain will be minimal..
Of course if your calories are higher than what you burn, fat gain can happen, which is why I mentioned complex carbs from clean sources.. ;)

A DS rep here- I did not see when you joined. ActivaTE and Lean Extreme-top notch!
2 caps with high carb meal-will do.

While I'm a huge fan of GXR, I couldn't justify it's using during bulking. If you are looking to keep fat gain at bay during bulking, LX might be a better supplement option for you.

Which is why I mentioned consumption of complex carbs from clean sources.. I still eat carbs while dieting, and so far I've maintained a lean 200lbs all while taking 2 caps 3x daily.. It can be done, but some may be more carb-sensitive than others..

There are a few supplements that I suggest to be in "the most underrated" category. GXR is one of them (a big compliment from me actually).
Employing its use while on "not the strictest of diets" again seems pointless for a "supplement." Supplements as usual NEVER MAKE UP FOR a lax diet - if one tells you different, they're lying through their teeth. Nonetheless, if you are preaching a desire for "suboptimal" gains (i.e. - one achieved by not paying attention to detail and simply throwing supplements into the fray hoping they will make up for it) - I cannot fathom why you would want to. In supplement land (this magical place I just created - but it is in fact wonderful - a pill for every ailment), this is what we call a serious waste of money.
Please Note: if I sounded like a jerk, it wasn't my intention - I just was pointing out the ludicrousy of such a question. Reserve your money-spending spree on such supplements for when your diet is in order.

Actually, most of your responses to many questions, many mine, you always sound like a jerk. "May not be your intension", but it always comes across that way so I would say it is your personally shinny through. Walks like a duck, sounds like a duck....I find my question to be less "ludicrous" than most of your responses to questions people are trying to get insight on. If the questions are not up to your standard, then don't respond. I did not say flax was better than fish did I?
I have recently read and was concerned about insulin receptors becoming usless, similar to diabetics when you comsume large amount of calories/carbs for many years causing spikes in blood sugar, retain too much fat etc. This was one of the reasons I asked about it.
So for everyone reading, if you are not on the "strictest of diets" do not use any "supplement."
I am sure we all await your rediculously verbose response.

Not exactly what I meant.
The thing is - I TRULY do NOT believe anyone should use supplements (which "supplement" a diet) if they are not using correct nutritional strategy or alternatively have a particular ailment that would find them nutrionally depleted of something. I can do much and try and sell a lemon as well but won't do it. Its not part of my ethic - my apologies if you would like me to instead blow flowers up your back end (too much of that already goes on).
One thing you get is people suggesting all these things (my answers to people's questions are bunk, et al) - fine, can't win em all - but I do ask you to support a comment like that as well as one that suggests another time I have spoken to you and it appeared I responded in jerk-fashion.
I can certainly take the onslaught once again if it is truly desired to go down that path...still, no true offers to concrete examples.
So tell you what...I will attempt to search any and all responses and interaction I have had with you and just see, if I find it - assume your point proven and I will literally come back and apologize publically.

--We were not taking nutritional depletion here. I was not specific enough in my question. A strict diet to me means counting sodium, cholesterol, etc. not sitting in front of the tv eating chips. I was asking when you continue to spike your blood sugar you insulin receptors do not function. So, I was looking for small evidence that this product may help reduce the chances of fat gain to give me some insight to as if it would help. You say your ethics and honesty wont allow you as a cover for your rude comments. The sales pitch is not working for me.

---Well read above. If you want to waste your time searching fine. I will only do so if you continue to act like you do not do this. Your comments are not that important to me to remember all of them.
I can certainly take the onslaught once again if it is truly desired to go down that path...still, no true offers to concrete examples.
----"onslaught"? I made one comment. What path are we going down again? Here is a free business tip for you, use all your knowledge to help your upcoming sales-not just to be a smart ass. Concrete example is right above.

----I don't need an apology from you as if my feeling are hurt. (LOL) I am not one of your future customers. This is a forum. I was simply pointing out your reply to my post.

Actually you used the term "many mine" - implying that many of my responses to you (not just this post) were in apparent err. You also went on to suggest that much of the advice I give is ludicrous (I believe moreso because of my comment) - that is one opionion. Again, you are always freee to take the advice or leave it if you find it to not meet your own expectations, but I assure you there is plenty of backing behind the responses I give. I work hard to assure that not only is the accuracy as up to date as is possible considering who may use the advice for whatever. I ONLY will try and fend questions of the medical variety off the boad to less of a public status as to the sincere privacy some may like to keep - but if it continues on then it continues on per choice of the poster.
I just searched for both your name and my name and really had better luck doing them individually but it simply appears that you were hurt by my comment above and made that comment. For that then, I apologize. In return I ask politely that you not make insinuations about me or rationale surrounding my intentions etc... as for those that have actually talked with me could assure you, I am very true to my word and pretty stand up with the RIGHT intentions (truthfully, the consumer in mind more than you could ever begin to realize).
Too, I am not sure I fully understood your question and if you would like to consider this further, I would ask that we contact each other through alternative means (i.e. - email, et al.) before it turns into an argument that has some people reading through endless pages of what turns out to be essentially nothing being accomplished.

----"many mine" ok I should have said a few as to suggest I am only taking about myself and not others. I found one in about 5 minutes, so I guess I should have said two. I will not waste additional time on this. You knew what I meant by your repsonses are more ludicrous than my question as you just explained. So, obviously you are trying to suggest I do not find your knowledge on subjects to be accurate-which I never said.

---- I can assure you as I did in my last post, I need no apology. It is not me who is sensative, it was your comments which I commented on, and that is that.

----- It is not worth it to continue this. You can chaulk it up to a misunderstanding if you would like.
-----Since I apparently, "make insinuations about me or rationale surrounding my intentions etc..." you can have the last word if you choose or just let it go.
