My job is my hobby. I am very fortunate in that I love what I do. I loving designing new products and I love the customer service end of this industry. That's why I always stress to customers that they can always contact me and I will be glad to help them to the absolute best of my ability.

My only priority outside of my job is spending time with my wife and step son.

Skiing! We try to go every weekend during the winter. As soon as this happens, I need to change lifting legs to Wednesday to not interfere.

Ya know I am jealous of you all.

The medical profession does NOT allow much in the way of "free time." In any free time I have had over the years I have been using to lift --> so as interesting as your question was, it is lifting that became my hobby.

Then I turned my hobby into a connection. I got into IM w/ sub specialty in Endocrinology --> learned a hell of a lot comparatively about this industry and tied em all together. I would love to own a supplement company one day (time got a little sticky when trying that about a year ago) or minimally aid in the R&D of one already formed. Myochem, SNS - you listening??? :D

ya i read on the internet a few weeks or so ago that drs. were got a cap on how much they can work. no more than 24 of continuous work. and i think 80 hours a week max. you lazy bastards.:P i couldnt believe that. how can a person do his job when he is exhausted.

oh ya and this last summer i got kind of addicted to collecting switch blade knives. there are more of a variety that a person might think. beautiful horn, wood, even some of the hard plastic stuff is cool. ive got about 12 knives so far.

I thought the AMA's refined guidelines included 36 hrs. continuous work with a minimum 12 hours off at that point. If not, man have I been overworked. No, really...I probably use the following schedule more often than not.

Days 1-4: 10-12 hour days
Days 5-7: OFF

* This too, probably varies with specialty. I find plenty of time still to lurk, etc... on top of working out, etc... Obviously relationships suffer and that would be what I would dub my biggest regret. Had a fiance of 7 yrs. and she split due to the schedule - that was most humbling.

Racquetball is my favorite hobby. It's fun, intense, competitive, and healthy for you. (It is ranked second in sports at burning off the most calories!) The people I meet are friendly and awesome for the most part.

Watching ESPN is the second on my hobby list followed by watching movies.

I got an all-american freak barrel, double trigger with chrome guard, chrome flame drop forward, sweet sight on it, rear cocking rod and a fade blue to silver paintjob. Its sick!

I also bought my own scuba tank and I fill my own nitro tanks. It costs $4 to fill my scuba tank compared to $8 to fill my little nitrotank at the field ?!?

how often you play lax...I played for 12 yrs. loved every minute of it...

in fact, as I headed to college - medicine was the furthest thing from my mind and I was looking at programs as my sole decision maker as to where I would go .... Realizing lax would get me nowhere in life - Hopkins seemed like an ideal fit (why not medicine + lax). Split time at the University of Rochester - unfortunately, they only had a club team...but I was very fond of it.

4 years later I wound up teaching anatomy and physiology classes for 2 years duration there and lax was officially a thing of the past. Then I began medical school (the thing I still do is fly home from Baltimore Md to watch NLL games - ROchester Knighthawks every few weekends as I take care of patients on an outpatient basis and clients for my company while there).

You ever watch the indoor professional game?

Paintball!
Tippman 98 huh? I use to play a lot, had a WGP autococker, was on a local team, then was about to play some tournament ball, but gf came along, so you know how that goes. Cant purchase A Dye Matrix 5 for $1200 when you got a gf. The team I was with now plays as Genesis, and they just played CFOA in Georgia last weekend and did great
