Well this is my first ever post to this site. I looked through it before hand and found a lot of what you all had to say very helpful and informative. So this looked to be a good place to drop in a question of my own. I am currently on month 2 of a 12 month stint overseas with the army. I am on a 3day on 1 day off workout schedule. I take 2 different natural test boosters, one of them being my leftover supply of 1AD. I also use animal stak, which I love, and creatine. I spend about an hour a day in the gym and do cardio as often as possible either at night, or early morning. My problem seems to be, though I find it fairly easy to put on muscle, all I manage to do is push the fat out farther rather than getting rid of it. I am 5'10" and presently sit at about 255lbs, with a BF% of about 26 by army standards. I have a decent, though admittedly not perfect, diet. Any suggestions on how to get rid of some of the blubber. I want the wife to be grinning as soon as I get off the plane lol... Thanks

you get the idea.. speed up slow down speed up. bascially its like doing a weights workout but for your heart. consume 1.6g of protein per kilo of bodyweight each day for maintenance of muscle while still being able to lose fat, avodid any kinds of crap ike soda, cakes, candy, biscuits, cookies e.t.c
drink a a lo of water a day but dont oer do it. you're also in a hot country too. so thats better for losing fat too. if you have access to it caffeine would be cool too. 200mg 3 times a day 4 hours apart each time. that way it wont kill you or you wont have any health risks to worry about.
ALSO take in good fats (unsaturated) omega 3, MCTs, EFAs. no saturated fats such as animal and a lot of dairy fats.
Eat 7 small meals a day. Thsi will aid in raising your meabolism.
AS for the wieghts side of it 2 weight sessions a week full body would be good. 2 sets per muscle group. perform mainl ycompound as they burn more calories overall.
to lose fat its bascially burn more calories than you consume
and 1AD is a prohormone (substance that converts o an active steroid/androgen) 1AD converts to 1-testosterone.

i was gonna say ECA but do we really want him to have a seizure while mounted on a .50 caliber machine gun attempting to defend his base at 4 in the morning while its still 40 degrees celcius and 400 rebels who have just amassed after a night of cock fighting and drinking non alco wine that have decided to grab 200 donkeys to attack the base?
No accidents.

Sorry guys, i dont get to jump on here and read as much as I'd like, and this is gonna show my level of supplement knowledge but, what is a PCT that you say i should taking with the 1AD? Keep in mind that I need to keep things in the realm of the legal as much as possible out here (yes I know about 1AD), the unit I'm in lives by the UA test. And thank you all for the quality advice on cardio and the like, man I hate doing it, but its a necessity.

i wouldnt worry about the ua test. We have taken two since we have been in country and they only tested for the standard 5 or 10 test. I know this because there are plenty of guys here that are taking anthing from pro hormones to things that claim to be the real thing. on another note. none of these guys do a pct either and you see them lose a ton of weight when they come back from leave or finish a cycle.

Do you or do you know of any companies that are able to give a "discount" to the troops deployed to Iraq? There are about 12 of us (and slowly growing) that are planning to work out on a regular basis after we are deployed there Thursday. Any help or advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you for helping us out.

If nobody knkows of any, I would definitely lobby some companies. It would be great PR for the companies and you could get yourself some cheap supps...good luck

I did a year over there at Camp liberty, We rolled out for 12hr patrols every day and I hit the gym right after rolled back in and debriefed. I went from @285 to a lean 240 while I was there.
It is hard to eat right there if you are rolling out the wire every day. I ate lots of tuna and used muscletech products cause that was all the PX had. Stay away from the thermo type products if you are out side alot right now.
the best things to eat are tuna pouches, protein bars, and a few of the main entres out of a mre. Throw all the cakes, cheese, crackers, and extra crap to the kids and eat only the meats out of the MREs.
In the chow halls every thing seemed to be covered in gravy so I stuck to the meats(wipe as much of the gravy off as you can) and yams. I ate some cabbage and green stuff if I could stomach it.
take very short or no breaks between exercises and short rests between sets. Keep it intense. Dont worry as much about the weight you are moving as the form.
Stay away from the illegal stuff over there we had tons of guys getting popped for riods. One of our medics got popped for stuff from Legal gear. The CID guy said the Army has a strict rule against anabolics! We photoed every supplement lable in the PX that said "Anabolic", pointed out that every PX back home has a GNC in it that sells tons of "Anabolics" , and printed out a list of "anabolic" foods off the net. they dropped the charge on him. Just be careful what you take cause Aliebaba is not the only one after Joe over there.
Stick with the free weights and hammer machines, stay away from the cable machines and keep your heart rate high thru the work out and the fat will come off. I got there at 24%bf and came home at 16-17% and strong as a ox.
Keep your head down and come home safe brother.
