I product I was using was Anabolic Pro-Line Kre-Alkalyn.
I found there was alot less water retention compared to creatine, but I dont think it was as strong/effective as creatine.
I'm glad I tried it, but I dont think I would try it again.

What about useing this along with some CEE as well?
Might be a good little combination?

Kre-Alkalyn is creatine...can I assume you are comparing it to monohydrate?

From what ive researched on kre-alkalyn, it makes no sense to pH buffer creatine mono. CEE is much more scientifically sound.

Whats the "reason" they found to do this anyway? Isnt it something to do with the dilevery? or am i jsut completly wrong? LOL

Sounds like the same thing you would get from a half normal dose of creatine mono.
Normal Creatine Mono dose: 5g
Kre-Alkalyn recomm. dose: 2.5g
Its still creatine like wedge said, but its a half dose, so you would feel less water retention, less effectiveness. The same thing you most likely get if you only used 2.5g of creatine mono. Kre-Alkalyn makes me sad... :(

Kre-Alkalyn was originally developed by All American Pharmaceuticals by a ex-bodybuilder named Jeff Golini.
They say Creatine Monohydrate's problem is that it gets converted to creatinine in the stomach and doesnt get to the muscles. Ive read some data (will try to find it later) that shows that most of it actually does NOT go under conversion to creatinine in the stomach, therefore pH buffering it is pointless. Also, if you read their articles, they try to say how theres so many problems and such with creatine mono. Well, tell that to the hundreds of studies done on creatine monohydrate that prove its effectiveness. They make it seem as if nobody is getting results from creatine mono, wrong. Creatine mono works great, there are a FEW non-responders (and even that is debatable).
Creatine Ethyl Ester HCl (CEE) is more scientifically sound I beleive because of a few things. The creatine molecule has both a postive (+) and a negative (-) charged end. Adding an ester to the creatine molecule blankets its negative end making it neutral, making it lipophilic, enabling it to pass through the lipid membranes of cells, therefore not needing any "creatine transporters" to get into the muscle cells and such. It doesnt have to wait outside your cells for these transporters, and therefore produces only intra-cellular volumization.
I could go on but im sure your bored by now. I might write an article on it sometime. Basically CEE is the better choice :)
