I didnt know where this belongs but here is my question.

Does anyone have a good remmedy or something for oil face/acne?

My back is no problem, Im scrubbing my back w/ dawn dish soap and it works just fine, the reason Im not using it on my face is well, Im scrubbing hard with a brush and dish soap would burn my eyes out.

Ive been using some face scrub stuff my gf reccomened but eh... I think I got more oil than normal people.

What I suppose Im getting at is a good reccomendation for a face scrub/wash? I only got about 1 month on my cycle left so its not a big issue.

I think any kind of face specific wash is good. A scrub might agitate it more. Also after washing you should use an astringent, you nnever realize how dirty your face can get till you see a brown cotton ball when your done. I wouldnt use dishsoap, but hey if its workin on your back go for it, just not on your grill!!:)

Niacin and retinyl palmitate (active vitamin A, or the "animal" form) are both effective. You can either look for a product that contains them, or mix up some of your own using an aloe base.

Nice nice, thanks Neon. Are these common ingridents in scrubs or do you have any certain kind that you know of off hand that contains these?

Not that I can think of. Any product that says it contains retinol or tretinoin is essentialy the same thing as vitamin A so there are alot of them out there with it in them.

Not that this is a product but it seems the sauna has been doing some wonders to my face with controlling acne.

I've also been lowering my sugar intake which seems to help.

As for products benzoyl peroxide helps, your skin may be dry or irritated with this product, so gradually increasing the amount used will help combat this.

I've tried things like 5gs of pantothenic acid along with apple cider vinegar, can't say it didn't work, but I also didn't notice anything special.

Go to the doctor. Get a script.

1) Benzaclin

It is a topical, one of the best I have used. It works wonders.

Then, go to CVS and purchase

2) Clean and Clear Continuous Control Acne Cleanser

One of the best face washes I have used, and it dries you out like a mofo, perfect for people like myself, and you apparently.

Active Ingredients: Benzoyl Peroxide (10%) Inactive Ingredients: Glycerin, Petrolatum, Mineral Oil, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Water, Sodium Cocoyl Isethione, Sodium C14 16 Olefin Sulfonate, Zinc Lactate, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Menthol, Fragrance, Potassium Polymetaphosphate, Titanium Dioxide, Carbomer

Try those two. youll b good.

Wash your face every morning and use the face wash for 45 seconds then rinse and dry thoroughly. (When you dry your face DO NOT use a towel, I use toilet paper becuz its clean every time, and dont scrub it dry, pat it dry.) Make sure you don't need to leave your house for a good 30 minutes after washing your face becuz it will be irritated for a little while (it wont hurt just will be a little red). Then at night time wash your face again with the face wash, same routine, and apply the Benzaclin only to spot treatments, on specific areas and pimples, let it dry and go to sleep with it on, wake up and wash it off, and repeat.

depending on what size you get, my girlfriend gets it too but it comes in a small little bottle, when I get it, it comes in this big like soap dispenser bottle. Either way, insurance DOES cover it, but you will be paying between 10-45$ regardless. lasts a while unless you jst spread it all over your face every niight

don't know how I missed this one either!!!! WTF???

This is something I know bout. I had it bad as teen, now I get maybe 3 a year. :)

I had a script when I was kid for accutane, but they usaully wont let you get it unless its bad. Also the sh*t will trash your liver almost as quik as SD, maybe quicker!!!! Was getting blood tests every wk!!! It is AWESOME tho. MD had an article a bit ago bout potential performance bennies from it too, interesting.

ANYWAY... what I do now is every time I shower (AM & PM, I do have very oily skin and hair, thanks genetics, damn frenchies) I wash my face twice with bar soap that contains triclocarbn/tricolsan. This is an anti-bacterial agent. Not all, but most acne is caused by bacteria, NOT oil. Oil just exascerbated the problem even more. All those creams and sh*t have never worked for me, but anti-bacterial soap is awesome. I also read an aricle in MD awhile back bout how bathing with triclocarbn mite even increase test levels sub-dermally thru the scrotum!!!

Just cause one has acne doesn't mean that they are a "dirty person" either, microrganisms are EVERYWHERE!!! But thats where the oily skin comes into play. It can trap these little bastards onto your skin, like glue. Thats why a good anti-bacterial soap is key.

Also, acne for bodybuilders is a little dif. This is more than likely cause by a hormonal cascade of events. Esp on cycle. If your on cycle, there mite not be much you can do. For me, now a days, a cycle is pretty much irrelevant, I don't break out. Even on a good DHT deriv like phera. Epi howevere, made me break out pretty good, IDK if thats cause its a DHT with a sulfur molecule, IDK.

All in all, the 2 biggest reasons for acne is hormones and bacteria. The best soaps I found are any Dial bars or my personal fav is safe-gaurd. The best anti-b soaps are bars. I hate body washes and sh*t like that, they really don't do anything but make you smell nice for the ladies. Other than that they're pretty useless. They also make me feel like I bathed in slime!!! ; )

mines reddish pink lolhmmmm.... :o

If it works, stick with it. It cuts the oil on your skin, thus the results. ;)
