a little tip i came across, if you want to make your shake thicker and creamier add in a little sugar free fat free jello instant pudding, it works pretty well

I've heard of the pudding thing but never tried it. i think i'll give it a shot this week
italionstallionl

its good and is only like 25-35 cals per 1/4 pack of pudding mix, so it doesnt add much to your shakes, but makes them really creamy. ive tried white choc, choc fudge, butterscotch, and vanilla. they are all pretty good

I have tried a lot of different ways to spice up basic flavor proteins.
I have added sugar free flavored syrups. I like to add cinnamon. Also have added flavored coffee creamers.
I like to make pudding with Protein Delite by Scitec.
Now, here's my unique one. Protein with coffee and espresso.
italionstallionl
January 13th, 2005, 09:33 PM
protein with coffee AND espresso, damn, thats pretty intense. you sure would have to like coffee to enjoy that one.
do you add it to vanilla or chocolate protein

Sorry steve, but that sounds disgusting lol
i tried mixing protein into my sugarfree hot cocoa once and the protein sort of made a solid substance and floated to the top. Also stank to high-hell.
Protein pancakes taste awesome though

I was thinking of getting unflavored protein for just that reason. I hear unflavored protein in water tastes like water....that cantbe bad either!

anybody try choc protein with pistachio pudding?
dinoiii
January 18th, 2005, 02:28 PM
Is the choc w/ pistachio good? I have just had vanilla.
My current inventory of proteins + aa related products:
24 Micellar Casein Protein 2lb. jugs
1/2 GF Pro - Dirty Ass taste
17.5 WPIs 2 lb. jugs
2 BCAA by company not sold on DA (bought before I knew DA was around)
2 Glut + BCAAs
Few sample MRPs
~ 2 dozen RTDs
So how do I compete?

well i decided to give choc protein and pistachio a try. its definitely nothing i have ever had before, it is different, but not bad. however, i like vanilla with pistachio much, much better and will probably not do choc and pist anymore.
it was definitely worth a try

I wouldn't really call this a shake "add-In" but I often add a vanilla shake packet to some oatmeal, add some cinnamon and applesauce. I spoon onto a pan and bake for about 10 minutes to make "oatmeal" cookies. I never really researched if baking takes away from the nutrition but they taste GREAT.

Guys,
I've found the shake!!!
I'm not for sure how "healthy" this is, but I'm more concerned about drinking a "partially" tasteful shake than calorie intake.
Approximates:
1 heaping scoop of chocolate whey
2 regular scoops of vanialla ice cream
1 pinch of cocoa
1.5 cups of ice
blend throughly.
I have been able to drink shakes much simply because I couldn't stand the taste, but this combo competes with Sonic Milk Shakes!!! :)
Good stuff...

Good idea guys. Noob you really need to try the Instone Chocolate shake. Trust me when I say this is the closest thing I have had that taste like a STEAK and SHAKE milkshake (note...using fat free milk does help even more). Instone also has a Vanilla spice which is pretty good considering I hate vanilla. I believe they put cinnamon in it which gives it a good taste.

Ah, I gotcha...
Question--- I have LOTS of the instant- sugar free, fat free jello of various flavors. How much jellow powder do I add into the shake mix?
Do you normally just blend milk or water, ice, protein, and jello?
Thanks.
italionstallionl
April 2nd, 2005, 05:17 PM
i add as little jello as possible that still makes it good and craemy. i would say it usually works out to be 1 serving (1/4 package).
yeah, i go for milk or water (depending on the time of day, and how many calories i have already had that day, or a blend of milk and water) ice, protein, jello. if its vanilla protein and vanilla jello i might add a dash of vanilla extract or a little cinammon

Noob, while your at it...you might as well throw in a steak too to up your protein intake.
Kidding aside, it's a crying shame you don't have a "Steak & Shake" nearby.
Life isn't complete until you have a "side by side" milkshake.
And italionstallionl, if you let your wife order the milkshake and you only drink her's, calories are dropped to 875....which makes it ok to have.
