living in south jersey, we have an abundent supply of deer wich got me thinking. i was wondering if there any nutritional value in eating venesin. my dad is always making venesin burgers and jerkey and such, would this be a good substitution to eating a lot of chicken

redneck. lol guess it depends on where you are from. i am from the south where everybody eats deer meat not just rednecks. us rednecks are just the ones that go and hunt so everybody else can have some. i am not sure on the nutrtional value but i know there is no better sausage or cube steak in the world then a good piece of deer meat. my brother just killed one the other day so i will be having some shortly.
