When your cutting down, do you still need a gram of protein per pound you weigh?

I would do more honestly.

It's good to have more than half of your caloric intake from protein. At least as far as I know.

a trainer at the gym I go to said it a gram of protein per kilogram of weight. Does anyone know if thats a good approach?

Thats what they all say...people here will tell you even 1.5g's is good.

Some go by 2g's...it's all your preference really.

I do about 1.5 g's.

1.1816 grams to maintain normal basal functioning. Beyond that, it is UNIQUE TO THE PERSON.

I found the calculator site to forget individual differences between various people.

Research tallies and I have put this figure up on the forum plenty of times.
