if you are out and need something to eat where would you stop, and what do you get.

personally i generally go for subway-turker on wheat, no cheese, with mustard and various veggies
if no subway around- burger king or wendy's grilled chicken, no mayo

Best place in the world.....Boston Market. Do they have them around where your from? Its a rotisseri chicken place. Kind of like KFC but nothing fried and everything is like homemade. I always get an entire rotisseri chicken, and a small side of either veggies like brocolli or if i want to cheat, then sweet potatoes. The sweet potatoes do have sugars in them but its still better than going to burger king or wendys.

the prices are good too. I think $7 for an entire rotisseri chicken. Like $3 for a side i think. So its $10 but its def. a full meal! It always fills me up...

Wooooo

you will probably never get the nutrition guy to agree to "eating out" or by all means, not very often (2-4 times / month is probably more than enough) - you couple all this eating out with "cheat meals" and you may find yourself off your diet more than you are on it.

I say opt out of the restaraunt situation - find a gas station and fill up on jerky!

Nah, really - the only SAFE thing to do while eating out, EVEN if you are not a low-carb crazy dieter is to eat LOW-CARB. If you opt for ANY side-dishes it gets tricky b/c of the inclusion of butter, etc... Carbs + Fat in this regard is too much on a system not accustomed to it. Tell them to pass the dead-animal flesh and be done with it.

i agree, when i get a grilled chicken i will eat .5 the bun, toss the top half in the garbage, and i dont usually get sides, so i guess im safe there

forgot about this when i initially posted, i would say my favorite place would have to be chipotle
burrito bowl (same thing as a burrito with out the tortilla)
black beans
chicken
tomato salsa
hot tomatillo salsa
lettuce
cilantro

how would that be for a meal on the road?

it probably has a good amount of sugar from the salsa's. Overall if you were out and needed something to eat though it would be better than a big mack or something.

i dont know if its worth it, the whole special sauce thing was never my style, when ever i used to get fast food i usually went for the spicy chicken sandwich, or just the double ch burger-ketchup only

Im an ecto so I eat anything and everything (almost)...
pizza hut, taco bell, wendys, mcdonalds, burger king.... And I still have a 6 pack that would put to shame many clean eaters I know

Brandon
June 30th, 2005, 08:37 AM
you and i are in the same boat trans, i couldn't lose my 6 pack if i tried right now. :D It's great to be able to eat whatever, but the drawback is it's a bit tougher to put on weight (for me anyway). I have to eat like it's a second job.

Yep, same here, I get up early just to get down the extra calories, and been taking my cytogainer a couple of times a day

You should both fall to your knees and thank God. If I ate any kind of carbs after my first meal, I'll watch my abs get worse every hour. And I'm only 18. I have a show this week, and I lost over 20 lbs so far to get ready, and I'm still not there yet. So being an ecto isn't so bad. Enjoy your metabolism.

I havent had a cheat day in about 6 weeks. The only cheating that I do, is onece a week I up my carbs during lunch... Get this, I was on the treadmill yesterday, and a Macdonalds commercial comes on the t.v. I almost went insane.

I like subway grilled chicken on wheat
or those arbys roast beef sandwiches 4 for $5 and just eat 2 sandwiches and only .5 of 1 bun. I'd guess it'd be around 35g.

Normally i try to just bring a protein bar with me when I'm out but those do get spendy.

T_I, Brandon and all other ectos ...

I TOO HATE YOU!!! (j/k, of course)

It took a hell of a lot of "clean eating" to go first from a 350 pound literal fat ass (BF% at an unbelievable high of 54.5% if you saw me today) to a skinny 147 pounds. Today I boast a tally of about 215-225 lbs at a BF% of fluctuating 7-9%).

Now, Wes...a bit more "cheating" is ok to essentially rest Leptin levels, etc... ya know - actually likely helpful to not put you at a sticking point so many chronic "dieters" face. Caloric Cycling would likely bode you well.

I eat up to 12 meals per day these days at roughly 4500-6000 calories and it is ironically like feeding a tapeworm as I have jumped into the gray area of putting on mass finding it difficult to consume the appropriate tally of calories.

I travel more than 100 nights a year for work.
It is very tough trying to put together 400-500 meals a year on the road.
I'm not like the guy on the subway commercials that eats them every day. Subway gets old!

OCC,

Its a Aussie thing. I am currently living in Australia and lamb is bing down here. Its like a subway wrap with lamb instead of chicken or beef. minus the cheese.Best tasting is just plain lamb, and some lettuce.
