i am so pissed. tomorrow morning i am going to be getting my wisdom teeth taken out, which means no lifting for 3-5 days. i plan on going with the 3 days, but will have to see. im worried with the lack of things i can eat i will lose some muscle. the only thing suggested to me was jello. lol i dont even like jello. i guess i will have some mrp's or something, but if anyone has any food ideas that i would be able to eat while laying down (that dont require chewing) that would be great. thanks

Protein drinks, protein drinks, and um....PROTEIN DRINKS. my buddy had his wisdom teeth pulled 4 weeks out from a contest and he was fine. Just think of it as a forced recovery time. You will be fine.

Beef jerky.....

just kidding man. That sucks but you should be fine. Lots of protein drinks, get creative too. If anytime's ok to cheat, its when you're injured or recovering. Maybe throw a couple scoops of vanilla ice cream in with protein and natural peanut butter once a day. You'll be bumbed about not working out, maybe the ice cream will cheer you up?

Also if you have BCAA's I'd take them to help stay anabolic.

POST-OP

4 even servings of Creatine

2 servings of 20+ grams glutamine

* Hey, when you do get back in the gym - you are trying for 3 days...make certain you don't try and lift to much for upper body, you will already pretty top-heavy :P

* Look at this way though, you will have extra cheek room to store anabolic compounds for a few days. Your name will officially have to be changed for the next few days to:

"italionchipmunk"

* Just kidding, I agree with 1aflexaholic's post. It probably shouldn't affect you too much in the grand scheme of things. Keep us posted on how you do.

After I had my wisdom teeth pulled, without thinking, I drank from a straw and pulled out a blood clot. Serious pain. Good Luck!

after a full day of sleeping, and eating protein and jello when i woke up which was only twice, i can already tell i lost weight. maybe its the fact i dont have as much water in me, but veins are showing a lot more than normal and stomach is flatter.

day 2-pain is still way worse than i thought it would be, hurts to talk. but vicodin definitely helps lol. hopefully it all goes away soon.

thanks for the help everyone

Its just in your head I think. You might be just a little deflated since you're on creatine/no right? You'll pump back up when you hit the gym again. Don't worry three days is nothing, its actually good to give your body a rest.

Best of luck to you. Having wisdom teeth pulled sucks. I have 3 gone, possibly 1 to go.

i got three pulled, i had my other pulled when i was like 12 or something. when they x rayed my mouth they didnt know what it was, they thought it could be cancerous or something so they took it out, but it turned out it was just my wisdom tooth that developed really early

Tried to get my cousin who is a dentist to pull one of mine today but its coming in sidewayz so I had to schedule with an oral surgeon in 2 weeks. It sucks cause I dont have insurance 300 400 bucks gone. Oh well if it stops the pain I dont care lol

after seeing all my friends after they had theirs pulled i didnt think it would be too bad, but it defintiely hurt way more than i thought it would, and still does. luckily im stocked up on major pain killers, i go back to the dr tom, hopefully he'll clear me to start lifting again. thanks for the encouragement
