I figure since you're in the medical field you might be able to help me with something, Bro.
A few months ago someone accidentally elbowed a glass bottle of bud off of a table. I reached out really quick to grab it so it wouldnt smash all over my stuff. I felt a tingle in my lower right section of abs. An hour or so later it was KILLING me. I think i might have injured my Rectus Abdominus at its insertion point in the pubic symphisis area. It went away for like 3-4 weeks. Randomly today its killing me again. Any thoughts? Would you see a doctor? It always hurts when i do abs too....

No biters on this one?
Dinolii? Maybe you're just getting jollies from my pain bro? lol.

Seeing how you seem to be pleading, I suppose my "jollies" will have to be put aside. Nahhh, actually I don't simply sit here to answer questions - as soon as I see it though, I will get to you. If it went more than 2-3 days, I would probably question my internal satisfaction.
One confusion I have with what you have described is that you have discussed the pain as being in your right lower section (what doctors may describe as the right lower quadrant (RLQ) if dividing your abdominal region like a checker-board. Since your question surrounds the rectus abdominis muscle, I will first say that my confusion is your description of potential injury at its insertion point of the symphysis pubis which lies in the midline of the body. It may be more appropriate to say there is potentially an injury along the pubic crest, provided it is the rectus abdominis muscle at all.
You have described the pain as kind of "intermittent" - disappeared and now reappeared as well as used the term "tingled" in your description which may which may indicate nerve damage (intercostal or subcostal nn.). It is very hard to assess this without actual PE.
On the other hand, it could very well be something else and unrelated to the injury you describe. I will offer you this: while it would probably be ideal for you to visit your doctor to examine it, I would personally give it a day or two and see if the pain persists. At that point, I would upgrade to a definite. My rationale being - #1 if this is in fact musculoskeletal, the only likely treatment would be analgesics and rest. #2 if we visit our MDs for every little perception of pain, we would likely be in the office daily, especially with our choice of lifestyle and associated injuries.
That being said, I continue with - If the pain does not persist but shows up again down the line intermittently, I would again consider seeing your own doc.
I know I have not offered much without a proper examination, but perhaps an outside looking in perspective. Also, if I started giving medical advice out this way, it is kind of like Steve or Leonard saying you can use their prohormones until 2009 (instead of the all but required 2007), etc... Make sense?

I get you. Im not one of those people that goes to the doctor for everything, as a matter of fact im the opposite. I dont go unless i think its somethign very serious. Seeing as it was a month or more since i initially hurt myself i think it might be a good idea to see him. But again all he's going to say is "rest it" and i have been. I've only done abs once since my injury. We'll see how it goes. It hurts when going to the bathroom though so its kind of a b*tch.

Ok, the "hurts when I go to the bathroom" thing is potentially a bigger issue. Are you positive that the two are related (injury + current pain)?
How long has that been going on?
and - you may avoid "abdominal" work in the direct sense, but do you NOT squat, deadlift, etc.... You could be inadvertantly pulling on it with other movements (again, provided this is in fact an MSK injury).

100% positive. It hurts in the exact same place. It only hurts when the area is acting up.

Yeah i'm sure i do, but I'm not going to stop everything unless its absoltely necessary.
You think there's any chance its a hernia and i just happened to aggravate it when i reached for the bottle?

Again, without proper exam, this is a hard question (the one of hernias).
There are a few ways to examine for hernias - but I would ask if you can feel a mass in the area that hurts?
Secondly, If you cough or squat down (what is known as a valsalva maneuver) - can you feel a mass in the area?
This usually requires immediate surgical repair and I have only been present for two such operations. It is kind of a nasty surgery should it need to be done and requires the insertion of a mesh-like framework in your abdominal/inguinal region to make up for the defective area.
If this is herniated bowel (which it does not sound like), the repair gets even nastier.
More often than not - it turns out to be what is called an indirect inguinal hernia (indirect b/c it passes through the inginal canal and potentially into the spermatic cord - which is why you are asked to tun your head and cough at the doc's while he presses inward on the scrotal sac). This is in contrast to the direct inguinal hernia (which is called such b/c it passes "directly" through the abdominal wall).
Examination to evaluate which type usually would require palpation (or your doctor feeling for) the location of the mass. If the mass lies sort of more towards the center of your body (usually judged by its location to a mass of vessels known as inferior epigatrics), it is of the direct variety. If the mass lies lateral, it is indirect.
If you are a female, you'd have to watch out more often than not for a mass down the thigh (which is known as a femoral hernia) - but you do not describe such pain, so it would not be my guess that it is anything like this.
Perhaps, to simply aid your concerns - an examination would be advised. And if it is in fact a hernia, some awkward movement can stimulate pain again to a desensitized area. This is usually b/c you stimulate strangulation of sort to the tissue that is portruding through either abdominal wall or through the inguinal canal. Make sense?

no cant feel a mass

lol maybe I'm turning into a female? That'd explain why I tend to hold fat in my chest
Make sense? yep totally

Hey there's always "Prevent" by Xtreme Formulations. I dunno what's the dillio with dat product though.
Jesus, too many roiderkid posts - I think I will have to throw my newly- learned GANGSTA you informed me I was being schooled in at my patients and see if they can follow it better than all the normal science talk. Maybe he helped me, ya know?
