Yep, it has estrogen like effects which isn't good for a bodybuilder. Just for guys in general it isn't a good idea. There are a few studies that show a corrolation between intake of flax and prostate cancer. Just use fish oil instead and you'll be fine.

As for where you've been, I don't know. Its worth pointing out that the major flax producers have published their own studies which show nothing but good effects from flax. Then again the labs that have done these studies aren't independent and have used extremely questionable methods. If someone is trying to sell you something don't believe anything they say.

Hi NEON.
thanks for the reply..
nobody is trying to sell me a product..LOL
I was just talking with friends....
I do take fish oil as well,
the reason I use the flax is that it mix well with the shake or I put it on the salad instead of the dressing, (call me crazy but I like the taste and the flavour of the Flax oil)

Does anyone have a good article explaining this?

My old man has been on a "health" kick and my organic sister talked him into taking flaxseed all the time. I keep telling him its not very good for guys. But he's stubborn. So.... A decent article that is preferably a somewhat ease would be great. Thanks....
