Hey guys i have been looking over this forumn for the last few days and have aquired some good information from you guys using the search feature. I am 6' 4'' and 150 lbs at the moment and im looking to start lifting and eating alot in the next couple of weeks. i have done the calorie calculator and it says im going to need about 3500 to 4000 cal a day so i know all that but im just looking for some suggestions on suppliments and good foods to be eating to help me reach my goals.
i have also been looking at all the posts on nitric oxide but i dont want to be taking anything that may harm my body so i was just curious if this product would benifit me at all?

If your pretty thin, you really need to concentrate on your daily caloric intake. Id say shoot for atleast 4000 cals a day. You will not gain weight off throwing down some supps if your diet is not correct. Diet is number one here.

A wise man once said...
FOCUS ON DAILY CALORIC INTAKE, YOUR DIET WILL MAKE/BREAK YOU

If that is not perfect then your supps will do little to nothing. Heres a link to help you determine how many calories you should be eating a day:

This is another good article on diet (remember diet is #1!):

For training, which is number two to diet, heres a good workout for gaining some mass (similar to mine):

Day 1: Chest Sets Reps
Incline bench press 4 6-8
Flat bench press 4 6-8
Dumbell Flye 4 6-8
Cable Crossover 4 10-12

Day 2: back

Wide-grip front pulldown 4 6-8
Close-grip pulldown 4 6-8
T-bar row 4 6-8
Seated row 4 6-8
Back extension 4 10-12

Day 3: Legs

Squat 4 8-10
Leg press 4 8-10
Leg extension 4 8-10
Leg Curl 4 8-10

Day 4: Shoulders & Traps

One-arm lateral raise 4 8-10
Seated dumbell press 4 6-8
Bent-over dumbell raise 3 8-10
Dumbell shrug 4 8-10
Upright row 3 8-10

Day 5: Biceps & Triceps

Alternating dumbell curl 4 6-8
Seated preacher curl 4 6-8
Close-grip bench press 4 6-8
French press 4 6-8
Standing straight bar curl/
V-bar pressdown 4 6-8
Concentration curl/dip 4 6-8

Try to also do a short ab routine 2-3 times a week of about 4-5 sets of 25 reps of some weighted crunches.

Supps (number 3): once your diet is down, you can take these to aid in your recovery and strength

1) multivitamin
2) protein (make sure to ATLEAST get a gram of protein per pound of bodyweight in daily, 2g being OPTIMAL)
3) Flax oil
4) creatine/cell volumizer (SNS CVM, Syntrax Swole V2, SNS E2, Green Bulge)

Remember, diet is number 1!

Hey there-Eating 4000 calories could be a chore for you. I am an easy gainer, and it would be hard for me, I would be an eating machine. With friends who fit the ectomorph profile (thin and lean) I recommend a weight gainer. Essentially it is a calorie loaded powder you mix with a drink that has around 600 calories+ The good thing is that it is not s__t calories.. it is still loaded with good nutrients that will also benefit your physique growth

Look on discount anabolics and you will see there is an array of products that wll assist you with this. Cytosport has a product called Cytogainer that could be good based on their other products (muscle milk)

Cheers

^^ Cytogainer is an excellent product. Add some oats and youve got a 1000+ calorie meal.

With proper diet and training, you should gain 1-2lbs a week.

Hey Craig, I was just reading your post, and thought I would let you know, NO (Nitric Oxide) is safe to use, you don't need to cycle it. I LOVE NO for the pump, the endurance, and the fast recovery time between workouts. If you have never tried it, wow, you gotta give it a go.... You take it 30 mins prior to workout and man, you will get the pump of your life!!

Bump Trans comment, 1-2 lbs is good to shoot for.

After work out pack a sandwich, or protien shake something that you can eat or drink on the run, If you dont get some protien into your sytem after a workout you are going to hurt your results. As far a taking NO after workouts, just try to get it into your system as soon as you can
