Hi, I'm a 16 year old 230 pound 6'1 fatty :). I've been one since about the 5th grade. I'm in my junior year of High School and I've had enough. I go to a baording school now so i finally have a gym I can get too. I'm looking to drop as much fat as possible and replace it with muscle. A friend of mine is starting me on some ephedra but I know pills alone cannot do it. I love basketball and am playing football till basketball starts. If anyone has any ideas, diets work outs or anything please feel free to send me an email at jCoonan@gmail.com it will be greatly appreiated. Thanks in advanced.

Oh and BTW I have a muscluar frame, broad shoulders, etc...

Hey bro,
What dosage of ephedra are you taking?

What does your training look like?

Well I'm getting the ephedra today, I'm guna say that the does is 20mg but i'm not sure till he hands me the bottole later on today. I dont eat much, I think i have plateaued as far as weight loss i used to be 240-245 through basketball i dropped that but haven't lost anything since. Our football practices are lot of running and I do aerobic cycling at the gym. I'm like a fish out of water there so i really dont know what to do. :| i searched amazon for some books on nutrition because i'd like to know what food do for you and how i could make my own diet for what i need. presently i'm a novice.

My only comment:

It isn't time for ephedra or any other ergogenic of the beta agonist variety for you!

Please post your ENTIRE diet for the prototypical day.

I actually have been feeling great and actually loosing with the ephedra. I'm hovering around 220 now and the energy is crazy. I dont much like the lack of a appitite but what cha gunna do. I put my self together a workout for basketball and I will be starting Sunday. Like i said the energy is crazy, I've become a better student and I just feel great even if I just have a pill in the morning. I'm going to finish the bottle, 35 left, then I am just running alot until I loose the rest of the weight/fat I want. After that I am done with proformance enhancers. I am however on the market for a good MRP / Protien powder. If anyone could asist me in that area I would be greatly in your debt. I know it just sounds like a cheesey product pitch but odly enough the ephedra helped me to realize alot of things about my life. NOTHING REPLACES HARDWORK, whether it be a Prohormone or a Supplement. My diet is really Breakfast Heavy, most likely because that is before the ephedra has kicked in. I usually have a bowl of oatmeal/cream of wheat sweeted with splenda, plain scrambled eggs, half a cinnimon rasin bagel, bacon/sausage, cup of OJ and a cup of skim milk. Lunch is generally non-exsistant hense the need for a MRP, and dinner is usually non-exsistant. Mind you this all depends on what the dinning hall serves. I have hard football practice from 3:40-6:00, 4:00-6:30, 1:20-5:00. The first time is Tuesdays and Thursdays and the second time is Mondays and Fridays, the thrid time is Wendsday and Saturday is gameday. Anyway this a has been way to long of a rant about myself. There it is, I will post my work out in another post for scruteny. Thanks everyone here and dont forget to post your favorite protiens/MRPS. Enjoy the night/day you read this.

My favorite protien is Syntrax Nectur. As far as MRP I dont really care for them, they tend to give a bloating feeling

I'm sorry - did you say you had all that food - what likely amounts to 800+ (even potentially 1000) calories for breakfast and then fail to eat the rest of the day???

So you are taking ephedra to make up for the fact that your diet stinks?

You are not having "success" right now, you are simply starving yourself for likely 23 out of 24 hours of the day.

You will likely lose "weight" this way - absolutely. "Fat" though? For every 3 pounds of fat goes about 1 pound of muscle with this diet - I AM SERIOUS. You need much more than an MRP/protein powder!!!

It is difficult to make a diet at school considering I would have to buy and cook my own food, which is imposible. Someone should make a boarding school diet :). I actually do feel stronger, I can run longer, and have made gains lifting. As I said tomorrow will be the start of a experimental basketball workout I created. I'll post my shtick when I get back from the gym tomorrow. Any help would be greatly appreciated as far as diet goes. However, like I said, it's mighty difficult to sculp a perfect diet at school.

BRING FOOD WITH YOU. I go to college full time and work full time and let me tell you... I feel your pain. Organize your time so that you can prepare food at night and take it with you every day. Whether you are gaining weight or losing it is irrelavent. Your diet is not something that you can compromise. As soon as you start eating correctly you will notice an explosion of weight in the gym and you will feel about 6,000% better every day. In case this information is foreign... Eating every 2-3 hours helps keep your metabolism at its peak.

I know that with the way my job is sometime I dont even get a supper break especially on friday and saturday night. I always pack a large lunch box and put it in my squad. Wes I right you would be amazed how much better you feel when you have a full stomach

Eating while in college can be a hassle, you just have to be dedicated. In between classes, I go to the school quick stop store and get a pint of milk in between my classes, and I carry a bag of peanuts or steel cut oats around with me. I walk to class munching on them or in class down a bunch before the teacher starts. It an easy way to get in about a 1000 calories while in class. Then once class is out, eat every 2-3 hours, EAT EAT EAT!!

Sure youll get some stares in class, especially with a plastic ziploc bag of oats your downing, but they just dont understand :)

Some one should come up with a school diet. I have seen posts on what Percentage Wise my diet should be but how do I know the nutritional value of the pot roast? If anyone has been down my path and has a road sign please feel free to point me to it. I would be greatly in your debt.

"A school diet" wouldn't vary too much from what I would propose for what I suppose you differentiate as a "non-school diet."

See the rationale is simple - its not as simple as staying full because you too should NEVER GET TOO FULL. If it were as simple as "just eat" then many would end up "just fat." And I really don't want to argue with the skinny-fat subset. You are striving for what is sought by many, but achieved by so few.

The more appropriate mantra for you to follow may be:

NEVER ALLOW YOURSELF TO GET TOO HUNGRY, NOR TOO FULL!!!

I suppose one idea may be true of a "school diet" - it would take MORE PLANNING, I suppose. I don't have time is a COP OUT - and I am not gonna blow flowers up your backside by telling you it is ok. How bad do you want it is likely a more appropriate question?
