View Full Version : Small review of Fast Twitch

I saw some people asking how good Fast Twitch was and I myself wondered the same. It probably aint the best single dosed review, but with that said here's my thoughts after the first day:
Sour Berry Blast Flavor
Taste: 8/10 It's not like Rag where I had to hold my breath and pray I would be able to stomach it, but I find N.O. Xplode to be superior over fast twitch.
Effectiveness: ~9/10 The only other product that I felt like this was N.O. Xplode before the effectiveness wore off. I hit shoulders and back and after my workout it felt like another set trying to pull my hoodie over. My traps looked like they swelled up atleast 1.5 times the normal size after a workout.
Overall: ~9/10 Overall it's a solid product. I hope the effectiveness doesn't wear out as quick as N.O. but until then I am in love, can't wait to see it on arm day.

I used a couple of tubs of it a year or so ago. Its funny i was just thinking today about adding Grape Fast twitch to my next order. I always found it to be better than NO Xplode or Smash.

Yea, I finished smash not too long ago and I really didn't find it to do much. I missed a day by accident and I felt the same way when I missed it as when I took it.

Fast twitch is a good prod i have a ton of samples and it works well.
NO xplode works better until the effect wears off.

Well I hit legs yesterday even thought I was gonna make it an off day, but I was bored and the weightroom is like 30 feet or less from my dorm room and I must say it is still exceeding expectations.
I had a lot more energy through the sets and was able to get extra reps on a couple. I'm sweating like no other with it too which is nice, usually doesn't happen on weekend workouts since I don't use Leviathan reloaded on weekends.

My absolute favorite supplement is TRAC NO Extreme. I've tried about 472 thousand preworkout supplments and the only one that I'd even mention alongside TRAC was a Fast Twitch sample.
I think just like everyone else who is subbed, I'm interested to hear effects of dosing Fast Twitch on consecutive days to see if tolerance builds.
Props for a unique, much needed review bro

Thanks Celc. This review will probably be in the realm of mediocrity since it's my first log attempt at a log, but greatness comes with perseverance.
Day 3:
Still holding true to the first time I took it, but it's still new to my body. Hit chest pretty good and felt a nice burn with it, but on my last set of decline DB flies I tweaked my left shoulder some how. I felt pain in it last year a little, but there's no pain now after I rested a little from the workout. Sweat was amplified mixing the Fast Twicth with Lev Reloaded. Slowly reaching my strength range before I hurt my wrist around thanksgiving which is a plus.
Side note with the taste: The sour berry has a tart taste that I finally realized resembles a grapefruit type flavor to it today which isn't bad I guess.

Heh, I get energy from the Lev. but I can still fall asleep around 11-12 at night. But starting Thursday Imma drop it off until done w/ the Fast Twitch to fairly asses it.
Hit arms today, the pump was nice with it. Can tell the difference, but I've had more intense pumps on arm days before. I do got that good full tight feeling so I won't complain. Day off tomorrow than shoulders back on Thursday. If I can remember a notebook I may add numbers, but I've never really taken one when I workout so I'll see.

One of the issues I have with some preworkout supps is similar to the problem I have with SMASH. It kicks in quickly within about 5-15 minutes, but then I crash, AND HARD, about 1/2 way through my workout. Funny thing is, it seems to stay in my system and interfere with sleep several hours later. Not cool no matter how you look at it.
What's your take sustaining entire workouts with Fast twitch?
Has it intefered with sleep at all (that is, if you workout later in the day or evening)?
IMO exact workout numbers aren't necessary so no need to carry a notebook if you usually don't. Just say so if strength is increasing :D
Good job buddy!

Yea, I know with N.O. I would have that good methed out feeling going on and than just a sudden crash while I was nearing the end. My buddy who uses N.O. Xplode had to kneel in the corner the first little while because his heart was racing so bad. So far with Fast Twitch it's been lasting the entire workout for me so far. Hits in and sticks with me which is nice. The true test will be about the 2nd-3rd week because I found that's when everything else wears off, sadly I was stupid enough to buy more than one tub of stuff without realizing the diminishing effects. I usually work out anywhere from around 3-5 depending on days because of class. Sleep is still fine, but than again it's not too terribly late in the evening for it to keep me up.

i must be a hyper responder to ft, if i take anymore than 1 scoop i get wired with a terrible headache. been using 1/2 scoop half hour pre and sipping other half during. that is why i asked you about the levi. its actually kinda nice, usually i shoot through stuff in no time. fast twitch and lean extreme are 2 supps that worked well at or below rec.

2nd use of Fast Twitch on shoulders/back (Width-do width and thickness seperately, I see a little bit better results that way) day.
Everything is still all good in the neighborhood. Only real problem I had today is the pull down machine here is plate loaded and I'm almost out of weight to add, so I'm about to hit a wall in that department. I'll just have to get creative and jerry rig something creative on it. Other than that I still have a great focus/energy through out entire workout and great pumps overall.
CrackerDice
February 28th, 2008, 05:14 PM
To clarify on the pull down, it's a plate loaded cable not hammer strength plate loaded.

Day 6: Legs
Today I just wasn't feeling it. The pumps were/are there, but the energy and drive to workout wasn't. The weights felt heavier than normal and it felt like it was a chore for every lift I hit. I don't think the effects are diminishing any and even a couple lines of meth or other fun powdered form narcotic wouldn't have gotten me in the mood. Hopefully I will return to normal next time I hit the weights.

Day 7: Chest
Today was back to the norm with Fast Twitch, I guess my lack of drive yesterday was due to not enough sleep the night before. Pumps were good, energy was good. Got more weight on incline back up to 205. Today I was just drippin with sweat which is somethign I noticed to become more frequent with Fast Twitch. Still not letting me down overall. Tomorrow is an off day for myself.

Day 8: Arms
If this continues to work like this than I will make this the only powdered pump product I ever use again. Endurance was even better than my last arms day and the pump is better too. Everything is continuing to work as it has been, no changes in loss of effects.
After the first week I give it around a 9 for over all happiness of this product, only thing I don't like too much is the grapefruit taste I keep getting, but it could taste like butt.

Well I didn't sleep last night so instead of having a workout that was "workless" may as well rest up some. But today someone in the dorms made the comment that my arms are looking bigger. That's personally good since my arms workout was 2 days ago now. But I also know it's just my old size coming back to me. But still i will attribute to FT!!
Plus my arms are still a little pumped feeling which is nice too.

You're not taking FT on off days, is that correct?
Using any other supps?

Day 9: Shoulders/Back (Width only today)
Today I decided to switch to an alternating group super set starting one with back to shoulders than shoulders to back for next exercise to shock it up somewhat. It was a good workout, and with the super setting I got done a little quicker today which is good cuz I have a small assignment due tomorrow. Good pumps, back is tight and shoulders are feeling heavy (to lift my arms up more so). Energy and sweating are still the same as the first dose. I've started noticing a little mixability issue I guess you could say with small clumps floating to the top of the not getting mixed, but they get ingested none the less.
Correct, no Fast Twitch on off days only taking protein shakes on off days, also only other supps I am taking other than fast twich GF Pro old and new labeled formula, and Xceed for my post creatine. 2 shakes a day on the GF Pro. Was taking Xtend pre-w/o as well but ran out and won't have any more atleast until the summer if I really feel the need to start using BCAA's again.

Day 10: Chest
Moved chest day to today instead of legs because some people were supposed to come workout when I was in there and I was gonna be able to get a spot. Well the lifts were decent, the same effects as always so far which I am really liking. However, I know that is only half the battle for lifting. You need the motivation, and since the time I started taking this product I have yet to have a spotter so today I was happy I was gonna be able to see the fruits of my labor weight wise. Well boom motivation sucked because they did not show up until about 45 min or so from the time I started and I didn't wanna stop my workout so I hit everything without a spot, and my Zune's battery died on my second set so I had no music to rock out to during my workout as well. I just cannot get past this plateau I'm at because I don't wanna get trapped under the weight just knowing I have that spot can help me with adding more weight even if I don't need the help. Tomorrow is legs and than sunday is arms. Tuesday I will hit chest and get back to my old setup of lift days where chest starts my week.
6 out of 10 today because of the lack of spotter.

Day 11: Legs
Legs was a lot better today than last week. Legs for me is my weakest area since I neglected them for years by never working them, so every time I can go up in weight I'm happy. Every exercise rose in weight by 25+ lbs so I am very pleased thus far. Front squats and normal squats saw the greatest increase in weight today. Plus the endurance to bust through the sets was stellar. Great workout, now I can have my rest day tomorrow on a good end note for this week.

Day 12: Arms
Real good workout today. Got 135 for 3.5 reps, yes I am claiming that half, on close grip curls which I haven't ever done. Also ended up throwing some dips in the mix, haven't done them since sometime in November. Still got great focus and I was able to beat the mental of wanting to stop a set because of the burn. Hopefully Tuesday I'll have a spot for chest, DBs only go up to 50lbs, so I need to do bar or I won't get anything outta it.

Day 13: Shoulders/Back (Width)
Nothing new to report, same effects and sadly enough still hitting the same weight on back, an extra rep or 2 but not rise in weight so far for back. Shoulders I'm raising a little bit of weight probably about 5 lbs per exercise.

Day 15: Legs
Good workout today. Before today I hit 315 on squats very rarely. And every time I have hit it it was little granny squats going half way down. Today I can finally say I did the manly style going fully down. Excited about that even though I know a lot of people who do more than that. Skipped my front squats today but threw in some lunges. Hit 415 on standing calf raises in the power rack for 10 which was nice. Good pump, good endurance, had to catch myself leaving walking up the stairs, almost fell. But I feel when that happens I was successful in pounding my legs day. That is all for now.

Day 16 not 17: Arms
Really weird workout today, didn't take anything different or do anything different really. The weight I used was not anything truly heavy, same weight I've been using. But the pumps were insane the whole workout, like nothing I have felt the entire time taking this product. Just wish that the pump wouldn't of been as strong as soon I guess.

I had a murderous week at work with stress out the wazoo. Of course that lead to lack of sleep on my end as well. I RARELY RARELY ever dread a workout but today was one of those days.
I got my Fast Twitch. Taste was excellent. Fast Twitch improved my mood and attitude slightly which were horribly negative beforehand. It gave just enough stim for me to get through a pretty long workout (90ish minutes). I noticed less of a stim effect than with the sample but considering the circumstances, it was an effective workout.
Overall, I was pleased with today's first round of Fast Twitch. Stim junkies would yawn but I liked it just fine.
Edit: I can already tell by the way I feel right now, that it's not going to interfere with sleep. I usually get a jittery crash after a potent stim effect wears off but no such feeling as of right now.

Day 17: Back only
Well today's workout was a real short one, bout 45 min. because I have to study for an exam on Tuesday. Still had a good one though. Threw in a little traps at the end just to pump em up and look swole for the rest of the day. Everything is going good, good pump/energy/everything. If I go tomorrow it will be shoulders only for another quick session, I just can't take more than 1 day off in a row, I start going crazy.

Cracker, I've been training HST style for about 5 weeks so I only have 3 solid workouts per week. Through trial and error, I've found that regardless of training style, 3 days seems to be my sweet spot for when I look and feel my best. Sounds like you'd go bananas with all those days off bro :D
2nd Fast Twitch workout was nice. I think I got a mild flu the other day when I said motivation was low. I still had it a bit yesterday but Fast Twitch perked me up. I had nice energy, nice pump, nice mental focus through a gruelling full body workout. "Nice" as in nothing spectacular in any department, although effective enough to notice.
Also, no crash and no interference with sleep.

Day 18: Chest
Well I completely blew shoulders off last week which means this week I'll just have to make up for it. Today I switched up my routine a tad to something I haven't done since my Mass Tabs cycle last Jan. 5x5 on all exercises with short breaks in between. I felt a good energy not needing to wait the usual 1-2 min breaks. At the end there was a nice warm and tingly feeling which I quite enjoyed. All in all it was a good workout.

When I started seriously lifting again I was doing full body 3 times a week. A buddy kept asking if I was sure I was working out cuz he didn't see any results coming. Started a 4-5 day split and started seeing faster results, than went to 6 days a week hitting majority twice and saw better results but I found myself being more fatigued all day. When I take a week off or even don't hit all my days I go friggin bannanas with boredom and anger and every other emotionaly toxic disorder known to man.
Yea, I haven't felt any crash yet with it either and I don't have any interruptions in sleep which is a plus for this prod.

Well today was a good workout until my 3rd set of front squats. Somewhere along the way my shin area started bugging me a little bit so I basically called it a day. I'll skip the BS. Here's how I grade Fast Twitch today.
Taste: B
Pump: B
Mood: A
Focus: A
Stim/Energy: C
Endurance: B
Strength: unable to fairly assess (I use predetermined weight with HST)
No crash, no jitters which is a plus.
No increased aggression or drive which is a negative.

Day 20: Arms
Well even though it was not scheduled I feel like my body was saying take a friggin extra day off yesterday. I was sore all over plus I was woken up in the middle of the night on Tuesday with a real bad cramp in my calf. Now onto the workout. It was actually really really good, threw in some crazy 8s for my last bi workout and 100 dips, broken into sets, at the end of my tris. Also hit reverse close grip bench and I was able to go around 25 or so lbs higher than the last time I did them. I noticed more vascularity, and a more full/hardened effect all over. I am truly loving this product, just wish I would have found it earlier than I did. Plus the effects are still holding good even though it's been almost 3 weeks.
Celc - Nice to see your thoughts on it, and depending on your preference, a C in stim can be good. I'm hoping that is the cause, but it's feeling fine today.
celc5
March 20th, 2008, 09:05 PM
I'm a big time stim wuss. I actually prefer "lighter" stims, as long as they don't crash 1/2 way through a workout.
I would also grade RPM a "C" in terms of stim POTENCY, as a point of reference. The reason I give it a C is so that stim junkies don't think that I'm suggesting Fast Twitch is going to get the motor reving for them.
A "C" is the perfect stim potency for me :)
IMO the perfect preworkout supp would enhance my mood, improve focus, have a light stim with no crash, and enhance aggression. So far, Fast Twitch isn't bad but it's still not quite up to my gold standard which is TRAC Extreme NO. Otherwise, it's probably the next best preworkout supp I've tried.

Overall a good workout, was able to throw up 20lbs extra on the pulldowns for 1 rep. Only thing I can complain about is the popping that I got in my left shoulder. No pain, just a pop every now and then. Other than those 2 things everything is pretty much the same.
Sorry to be a bother, but could you detail your workout regimine a little bit more?
No bother what so ever.
There is no real dedicated days until around the first of May when I get home for summer break really but for now my split is:
Day 1 - Chest
Day 2 - Legs
Day 3 - Bis/Tris
Day 4 - Off
Day 5 - Shoulders/Back(thickness one week/width the next)
Day 6 - Chest
Day 7 - Legs
Off day and repeat starting on the group that it ended on.
My summer split is:
Monday - Chest
Tuesday - Bis/Tris
Wednesday - Shoulders/Back(thickness)
Thursday - Legs
Friday - Off
Saturday - Back (Width)
Sunday - Off

I had a nice workout today. Slammed the Fast Twitch and it kicked in with an alert and awake feeling after about 10-15 minutes.
It's a very smooth alertness, no crash, no negatives to note other than that it does NOT enhance drive for me.
I'm not one to pay much attention to pump but it's only fair to talk about in terms of preworkout mixes. Pump was INCREDIBLE today. Pump was within range of anything non-hormonal and it's still lasting a few hours after working out. Obviously it wouldn't be fair to compare to a ph or designer.
Also, I should mention, no stomach discomfort with Fast Twitch. Although, I am not susceptible to this anyway so my opinion on GI issues might not hold a lot of weight.
CD: your split looks nice. If you ever plateau and want some suggestions, I'm familiar with LOTS of "routine theory" so don't be shy to start a thread or ask right here.

Day 22: Chest
Very poor workout, if i can even call it that. Got in the weight room and started my flat, and by the third set I had no drive what so ever. My mind was wandering outside of the gym. So instead of forcing myself to have a really crappy workout today and not being satisfied with it I just left. 3 working sets on one exercise is all I accomplished other than wasting one serving of FT. I'm gonna take tomorrow off since it's Easter and hit chest again on monday. So far out of all the times I've taken it 2 have been bad one due to lack of sleep and this one which I don't know what to contribute to. I did have a good energy, just horrible drive or focus or whatever you wanna call it.

Well after the lackluster attempt on Saturday I went ahead and did chest today. Much better workout actually finished it. Just glad I was able to get back with it.

Decent workout, got the whole stack on leg extensions for 2 reps, PR for me. Kinda disapointed in my squats, felt fine and I was friggin cooking with gas and my 4th set on it I ran out of that gas and stalled. Everything else was good, hit calves but not as heavy. Didn't really like the cramp I got last week from it. Hopefully I won't stall out next week on squats.

Good job keeping up with the log Cracker. I'm in an off week because I just ran phera for 5 weeks followed by 6 weeks of a post cycle routine.
I did about 3-4 total Fast Twitch workouts and give this product a thumbs up for those who are not accustomed to stims or for those who are stim wusses like me :D
However, if you are a hard core stimmer, you're going to need to take your stim in addition to Fast Twitch to get that "I'm on crack" feeling.
I'll be using Fast Twitch only on my Saturday workouts during my cut starting next week because I'll be avoiding creatine for the most part during my cut.

Skipped yesterdays workout so I hit it today. With just over 2 weeks left of class until summer I am feeling the effects of all my all nighters to study and finish papers. Good vascularity all over. It was a really enjoyable workout.

Day 26: Shoulders/Back(Thickness)
~15 servings left of it according to the label and I am still seeing no diminish in results. Nothing terribly extraordinary today, but it was still a good workout. was showing someone an exercise and the weight felt really light compared to the week before. Think I just wanted to show off so my mental was more determined to get it.
-Never heard of running the creatine only once during a cut. What's your reasoning for it Celc? water retention?

yup, i bloat like crazy. I don't mind the soft look in the fall and winter but the whole point of a cut is to look lean and hard. I'll sacrafice the mild strength gains from creatine for a leaner look in the summer.

Day 27: Chest
Well today's workout was perfect. Found out this week I can change the weight on the DBs at school so I switched to DB instead of BB. Ended up hitting 100x8 on my last set of flat which is a PR, most I've ever gotten was 4 on it. Incline dropped it to 80x6 which still isn't my best but overall I'm happy with the workout. I was sweating more than usual today, it was drippin off me right after flat which was a nice thing.

Basically stopped writting every workout day cuz the results were usually the same. With ~1-2 servings left I give the product an 8.5-9 overall. There were only 2 bad workout days in the mix, and with the extra energy and focus I was able to work through the usual fatigue battles I was losing to. Effects stayed good throughout for me and like I said there were only 2 workouts that really sucked while taking it, and they were spread out near the middle some time. I will more than likely pick this up again later down the road for my next pre-w/o product.

Thanks MW. Yea, it's definitely on my top 5 pre-workouts now. I'm glad I tried it out.
