Alright, I suffered an injury today. I strained my neck. I should be good tomorrow, it's not all that bad. But I have some percocets and I am wanting to take one, just to kill all the pain and I can fall asleep, and be good in the morning.
I am one week into my H-Drol cycle. 50mg a day.
Should I have a problem, or should I be good? Drinking over a gallon and a half of water a day so I have been flushing myself out good.

Don't take Percocets on cycle. Just discontinue your cycle. You're not very far into it, so you could theoretically just skip PCT and start treating your injury appropriately.

Yeah... you might not want to give your liver two jobs it doesn't really want to do at the same time.

It's not like a 'Oh, I need weeks off' injury. This is something that has happened before. I will be good tomorrow. I was wondering if I could take ONE percocet now to hold me over til I go to bed. I will be fine tomorrow. This has happened before.
I tried to adjust myself while holding up weight over my head on the hammer strrength shoulder press... Tweeked my neck and now my muscles in my neck are a bit sore.

You seem to already be justifying using it. If that's the case, then go ahead.

I already did :(
I was just looking for something like "You'll be fine" to reasure myself. I didn't really realize it until after I took it...
It is just this once though. I know I will be good tomorrow...
As for me, I have everything dialed in. I am finally eating right. Training good. Supplement stack in line... And then this and this saturday I am drinking. But that's it... I plan on HEAVY water drinking and downing alot of extra liver care.
I am almost mad at myself. But it's too late now. I am happy that I am doing better then the past. I used to drink twice a week on cycles and eat McDonalds. I wasn't ready then.

What's done is done man.
I think it's more the acetaminophen in the percocet than the hydrocodone that plays hell on your liver.
Just try to stay away from them if you can.
I've had to drop a couple ibuprofens on cycle just to get some sleep from shoulder injury. I just don't pop them all day, everyday.

Tylenol is a very liver toxic compound according to this latest report from the amazing Life Extension Foundation. If you care about your liver, please stay away from Acetaminophen products including Tylenol, especially when taking prosteroids. The people who they site have died are people who have not eaten and taken tylenol (can you say dieting). I can only imagine a kid who drinks, takes his usual dose of XYZ-Drol in the morning and 3 tylenol...receipe for disaster!
The joke is that the Govt will tell you that steroids cause liver toxicity yet Tylenol is worse on your liver than any of the prosteroids.

Also, there is this one:
"Tylenol Damages Liver, Even at Recommended Doses
The pain reliever acetaminophen may cause liver damage in healthy adults, even when used at recommended doses, according to a recent report.5
When men and women took 4 grams of Tylenol, equivalent to the maximum recommended daily dose of eight extra-strength Tylenol tablets each day for two weeks, nearly 40% demonstrated dramatic liver enzyme elevations, which doctors consider a possible sign of liver damage.
Acetaminophen, the active ingredient in Tylenol, is widely used to manage pain and fever. An estimated one in five US adults uses acetaminophen every week. Since acetaminophen is found in over 200 pain relievers and cold remedies, many people may consume large doses by unknowingly combining medications.
Life Extension has warned about the dangers of acetaminophen poisoning since 1992. Acetaminophen overdose is the leading cause of acute liver failure in the United States.6

Do you have labs to post on the forum? I'm talking pre and post cycle.

You should look into natural pain remedies. white willow bark, tumeric, and cayenne pepper by doing this:
Place 1 ounce of cayenne pepper in a quart of rubbing alcohol. Let the mixture stand for three weeks, shaking the bottle each day. Then, apply to the affected part during acute attacks. Place 1 ounce of cayenne pepper in a pint of boiling water. Simmer for half an hour. Do not strain, but add a pint of rubbing alcohol. Let cool to room temperature. Apply as desired to the affected part.

painkiller
February 14th, 2008, 12:51 PM
I'm going to step in here. I suffer from a chronic pain condition along with arachnoiditis (look it up) and have been on very strong pain meds for many years. I have a medication pump implanted in my gut that delivers the medications of morphine, marcaine and clonidine to my spinal canal intrathecally and I take up to 8 vicodins daily. I have blood tests frequently and my liver is in tip top shape. I truly believe if you NEED the painkiller then you should take it. Of course if you are drinking, popping pain meds for recreational purposes and on a cycle of PH/DS/AS you might do some harm but chances are your liver will recover in a short amount of time. One thing to remember, opiate use which most pain medication is, can severely shut your testosterone down.
