i almost always have a nighttime protein shake, a little cottage cheese and a p.b. sandwich on low carb wheat bread. i like it but am getting kinda tired of it, any new ideas

all whole food past 7pm's meal are non-existant.
I eat 8-12 x's per day depending on the time of year and type of training and goals...everything beyond 7pm is a micellar shake....potentially some added nuts (pecans, walnuts, or almonds). Tonight will likely be a tad different.
Right now, I still consume 2-3 shakes from 7pm and beyond. If ever I wake up in the middle of the night, I down another. Sound crazy - nah...I never wake myself up purposely.

I usually go with either cottage cheese or eggs, followed by a pm blend shake. Every once in a while I'll have a cup of ice cream but thats when I'm cheating :wink:

I tried that once....chocolate cottage cheese just didnt do it for me. I'd rather eat the cottage cheese and take micellar casein mixed with water.

now i have been mixing columbo vanilla protien with skim milk and vanilla protien and mix that in a blender thats what i am trying now

it really isnt. you can get yogurt with splenda now, i kind of assumed thats what he had. If not i'd get some max. Sugar before bed is a no-no.

i have a mix of :
cottage cheese , some whey , lots of eggwhite's , and some flax oil and a little peanutbutter{to prevent cravings on low carb days}

Flax is somethign everyone forgot to mention. Good pick up!
Usually I throw groud flax seed powder into my shake. It doesnt alter the taste at all

flaxseed is really good for your cholesterol how does it help with bodybuilding? lately ive been eating chicken with mushrooms and some cheese in a whole wheat tortilla. very good.

madness-all that before bed, wow, have you noticed any fat increase?
i think i surely would, but maybe your metabolism can tear through all that stuff

its mostly chicken with no skin very little cheese. i also add spinach. actually lately ive been keeping my carbs very low protein very high. eating late is my mistake tho. thats when its hardest for me to control my diet.

have to concur that any cheese IF NOT FAT FREE prior to bed is a BAD IDEA. NO MILK FAT....NO MILK FAT.....NO MILK FAT! This includes those who choose to include cottage cheese of the fatty variety.

thanks since getting the syntex nectur i have been taking 2 scoops of that along with bunch of ice cubes and mix it up the cooler taste like a pina colada just wish i could add a little rum

30 mins before bed:
-12 oz. water
-4 ice cubes
-1 Scoop ON 100% Casein
-1 Scoop Whey
-1 TBSPN. Natural Peanut Butter
-1 tspn. Xanthan gum
-1 packet Splenda
