I am certain everyone has done partial reps. I am curious as Iron Man Magazine has lately been talking about this x-rep concept, while not claiming to have been the first to introduce it. It sounds like partial forced reps to me.
My question is...can someone tell me how x-reps differ from partial forced reps or are they kind of the same thing? Thanks in advance guys and/or gals if there are any of you out there!

I have read up a little on these in a ironman newsletter and on xrep.com or xreps.com. I have only tried them on barbell presses and behind the neck press. My delts are a weak point, at least I think so, but the weight continue to increase. If you find out more info on Xreps please let me know.
For what I got from the info they are similar to statc contraction / static holds. But you move the weight up and down(this is only a few inches) in that certain spot in the range of motion. Hope this helps.

Sorry the website is x-rep.com With bench press, once you can not do another complete rep, you would lower the barbell to the pecs' strongest position ( below the midpoint) and continue to rep out with power partials or x reps. The movement is only a few inches up and down. Hope this helps!
