MEPs = Hernia!

Went to MEPS last week up in Pittsburg. Anyway I went in the back room, and the doctor is checking everything out, and he said I have a hernia. Well I have surgery this monday coming up, and after it how long should I wait intill I lift? Any advice, feel free to give it to me. I feel like s**t. It hurts, and I have nothing to do in the day time now, Im bored. haha. Just let me know.

Been there. By the way I took one vicadin and threw up, then just took advil for a couple days. First few days it is very hard to move, especially day 1-2. Make sure you have someone to help you if you need to. I was right up after the first one. I was like this is not too bad. Then the anethesia wore off and I got home and puked-lol! That really hurt-flexing your abs etc. lol!

I took about 1 month off. Then at home starting doing push-ups etc. Then next week went back to the gym and took it easy. About 4-5 months I was back to full strength/training. They said I would not tear it out this time. Been a couple yrs and believe me I have been trying. lol!

So you where in Pittsburgh and did not even stop to say hi? :D

Sorry to change the subject, but I was just wondering why you have an Air Force avy, but yet, your name is 82nd Airborne? I've just always been curious and I finally decided to ask.

My brother is 82nd, and I was going to go into the ARMY but he talked me out of it and told me to do the USAF. So thats what Im doing now :). Yeh, I got to go back up to Pittsburg here in a month again!

Hows the healing coming along? Any time back in the gym yet? When did MEPS tell you come back for an eval?
