Just reading a forum elsewhere that discussed, but didn't name a well known IFBB pro who collapsed at the 2004 Mr O due to dehydration and dieretix... Anyone know who they were refering to?....

i believe it! Those guys up on stage may be huge and look like monsters but they are so weak any one of us could probably kick thier ass! Its disturbing what they do to themselves in contest prep

At the arnold I got the chance to meet Lee Priest through a friend of mine. He shook my hand and I think that my son had a better grip then him. He could only stand for about 10 minutes while I was talking to him and then he had to sit down. He also did not look like he was having much fun.

Yep, I believe that. I wonder if some of these guys sit back at all and recall how they felt when they first started training, the fun of working out, the enjoyment of seeing subtle changes in your physique. Half of these guys are ready to drop dead day of contest, due to dehydration, but there organs are bulging out of their chest at the same time....

It just seems to directly contradict the whole principle of bodybuilding... While. But as a friend said the other day, competitive bodybuilding is a drugsport, pure and simple. I don't know why this surprised me as it did when he said this, I guess it's the dirty secret no one talks about, perhaps it was his candor in which he stated it.

Oh well, at least it is good to see some of the bodybuilders I like looking ok and enjoying life now post competitive life, like Lee Haney, Frank Zane etc

 Bob chick, I could be wrong. It may not be who you are talking about, but he collapsed while competing due to a severe potassium deficiency.
